MARYLAND ENSEMBLE THEATRE is a 501(c)3 non-profit professionally operated and
artistically accredited arts organization that has enriched and entertained more than half a million people since 1993. Every year MET produces thought-provoking theatre, fun family entertainment, theatre camps and classes, artist residency programs for public schools, and numerous special events. Through our wide-ranging work and prolific programming our reach expands to all demographics. Kids and teens enjoy our Fun Company productions, Fun Camps, In-School Productions, Ensemble School classes and Community Collaborations. Families return each year for our production of A Christmas Carol and Mainstage classics. Adults of all ages enroll in our Ensemble School, pack our Mainstage shows and take in our late night offerings like the Comedy Pigs & Laugh Station.

THE MAINSTAGE has been the core business of MET, generating close to $100,000 in revenue
each season. With 96 performances over the course of 10 months it is also the most consistently high profile program. Maryland Ensemble Theatre’s 17th Mainstage season will run from September 2014 through June 2015 All Mainstage shows run for 16 performances over four weeks, every Thursday through Sunday.

RETRO PROM is Maryland Ensemble Theatre’s annual fundraiser. Hundreds attend dressed up for a night of dancing, food, drink and our silent auction. The event keeps growing every year with dozens of local businesses donating prizes and catering, making it a night to remember. $2,000

THE ENSEMBLE SCHOOL is a training ground for professional and aspiring actors.
Since 1995 the school has been offering classes to students who have gone on to work on stage, tv and film in NYC, Chicago and Hollywood.
FUN CAMP is the Fun Company’s wildly popular and successful summer camp that is an intense,
yet fun-filled experience for young performers. Our highly-qualified staff of teaching artists creates an atmosphere of enthusiasm, encouragement and growth for the participants.
IN SCHOOL RESIDENCIES is a program in which our theatre educators work with kids in school for 12 weeks to mount a full-length musical. The program supported by the school’s PTA, has worked with Monocacy, Whittier, Valley and North Frederick Elementary Schools and Brunswick Middle School. Over 80 students participate in each production.
