The mind map spiraled into a list of negative encounters the natives now have to encounter. This made it clear that the cover were to portray diminishing native rights.

After considering the best possible way to portray what the native people had gone through I decided on only focusing on the eyes. Eyes are known for conveys multiple emotions simultaneously and without explanation the one peering into the eyes will understand everything that person is thinking.

The turquoise totem pole was selected because the practice of mixing and making colors is extremely difficult and takes much practice. The traditional color made during this practice have since been altered in order to please the tourists’ preference.

Variations of primary colors were used in order to imitate the Swiss Style. Layers and geometrical shapes were uniformly used throughout to create sections without distinct lines.
