This Counselor’s Notebook (CN) series began in Sept 2017 to inform colleagues about steps and strategies for implementing the MA Model 2.0 and ASCA Model 3.0. With the spring 2020 endorsement of MA Model 3.0 and June 2019 release of ASCA Model 4.0©, previous MA Model resources are being updated. A library of updated CN articles organized by theme will be posted on the MA Model section of the MASCA website soon. .

Model 2: Next Steps Counselors in K-12 Classrooms

Virtual coursework offered via GoogleMeet. Course dates set at the convenience of the registrants. Course completion goal summer 2021. Institute goal: assist your program’s MA Model implementation. Assignment sampling includes viewing and submitting summaries of MA Model 3.0 webinars and the MA Model self-study, ASCA 4.0 webinars, development of program mission/ vision statements, annual calendar, standards-based lesson and MARC or MARC Jr. document to highlight the impact of your MA Model implementation course project.
