Founded in 1996, Massa Multimedia Architecture, PC (MMA) is a trusted, passionate, rapidly growing, and innovative architecture firm headquartered in Neptune, NJ, with offices in Washington D.C, and Greenville, SC, & satellite offices in Tallahassee and Tampa, FL. We have extensive in-house design experience in a wide array of industries which include the educational market that ranges from Pre K-12 to Higher Educational Facilities as well as the retail, mixed-use development, commercial, and governmental markets. Our edu-cational projects range from Urban Pre-Ks and Early Childhood Centers to Intermediate/Middle schools within urban and suburban settings, as well as High Schools; both new and requiring extensive renovation and additions. In 2008, we formed a joint venture made up of Michael Graves Architecture & Design, Inc. (Graves) and MMA. Graves having extensive academic experience that included everything from pre-school to university facilities, and MMA with extensive school design within the regional community, allowed for the formation of Graves + MMA JV; one of creativity and school design know-how. For the third time in 10 years, the joint-venture was recently selected as one of 10 firms by the New York City School Construction Authority to participate in their extensive program to design new schools. Although more than 100 firms competed for this limited selection, many of them being signature firms, it is extremely rewarding that both our firms were acknowledged for the various benefits we bring to the project team. The MGA/MMA Joint Venture projects include PS 16 in Paterson, NJ, PS 42, PS 24 and PS 290Q in Queens, NY, PS 671 in Brooklyn, as well as PS343M in Manhattan. Principal involvement is one of the keys to the success of MMA. As such, Thomas P. McHugh, AIA, NCARB, Principal, is personally involved in overseeing all of our educational design projects. He works hand-in-hand with our client during all phases of the project from pre-design through schematic and final design, through to the close-out phase. Principal involvement ensures that the project stays on track and meets the client’s intended objectives. Our innovative design approach is a direct result of our daily in-house environment that has been created and organized in a manner that fosters our employees to comprehensively focus on every detail from project implementation to successful delivery.
