“Currently, I work at Harvard as a wood shop monitor and will be starting a new job as a carpenter. I’ll also start teaching in 2023 at the Elliot School. In between all that, I want to continue to evolve my sculpture practice. Right now I am fascinated by electronics and weaving them into my wood and metal forms. I love things made of junk and kipple.”

Gabriela Moreno

Cohort 5, Boston Latin Academy, MassArt ‘25

“Hello! My name is Gabriela Moreno and I am a sophomore Painting major at Massart. I mainly work with oil paints and stretch my own canvases. I love to paint but I am planning to become an art therapist and work with children. Here at MassArt, I am taking classes in psychology through their connections with the Colleges of the Fenway. I hope to help children or any person in need with the abilities that I have gained.”
