Purpose The summer break is an excellent time to gain experience that will help you explore your different strengths and interests. By attending a summer program you can experience university life, earn academic credit, participate in research, hone your leadership skills and dig deeper into the academic areas you are drawn towards. While summer programs do not give you a direct advantage in the college admission process, they will give you the opportunity to discover what you are passionate about and build upon your interests, which in turn will prepare you to achieve your future goals.
