“It is pointless trying to decide whether Zenobia is to be classified among happy cities or among the unhappy. It makes no sense to divide cities into these two species, but rather into another two: those that through the years and the changes continue to give their form to desires, and those in which desires either erase the city or are erased by it.

Sydney Oral History Library The site is located at the northwest given the history of the past, to the corner of Cockatoo Island. The part was contemporary Sydney. slightly industrial compared to most of the Cockatoo Island. So in terms of the Oral history, it determines that this will be a museumAs the island itself has rich historical like building instead of a conventional heritage from the first nations, of being library-like building as it provides an an indigenous Australian meeting place experience that guides the visitor then a colonial prison, later on, the circulate throughout it. shipyard early last century. After the deindustrialisation of Australia, it is a world With some of the primary idea of the cultural heritage in Sydney Harbour. design, it is extracted from Calvino’s The unique quality of the site is that the topography connects both the view towards Sydney harbour and towards the inland. And that quality enabled us to connect some meaning in between,

fiction chapter, THIN CITIES. One called Octavia, and one called Zenobia. Octavia was built on a spider web; every element in the building are stringed together from falling apart. And Zenobia, stands in high pillings,

with platforms and balconies crossing one and another, represents a city that residents who will decide whether or not to change and form it, otherwise erase it or erased by it. There are some properties inspired by thinness. Instead of the entire block of space being cut down distributed to serve Octavia, Thin Cities and its purpose. A series of the function being put together like needle and thread, also known as the circulation. So in my design that each of the coloured space is containers of functions. They are put together with the stairs in its hierarchy.

The central staircase that runs through all the space MAIN CIRCULATION and a fire safety stair got the quickest access when staffs need, or visitors need to leave. So the lower level of the building are preliminarily for visitors, and most of the activities are happening there Perm Exhibition and Temp Exhibition. Larger space was split into different height providing a variety of space and enables visitors to go upwards unconsciously. Also, both sides of the building have got

a lookout sitting in between the grids, extends the view to the harbour and the inland which is symbolic for connecting the past to the future so there will be a continuance (Gestalt Principle: Continuity). The top floor is the least used space c o m p a re d w i t h t h e o t h e r t w o f l o o r s . "The analysis will be a collection of 4 threedimensional technical drawings based on the case-studies provided each week before the tutorial. During the weekly tutorial, students will self-generate freehand axonometric drawings by studying and analysing detailed sections and elevations of the provided case studies. The challenge of this task is to recognise and describe architectural technologies and construction materials by using freehand drawings in a comprehensive and clear way. This task aims to increase student’s capacity of observation and to gain an in-depth comprehension of technical details of complex works of architecture."

"Case-Study Analysis will be an in-depth technical investigation of an assigned case-study. This task asks the students to document through a set of self-generated drawings, models, diagrams and tablesshowing architectural features, functional layout, structural and technical concepts, materiality and environmental impact of an architecturally recognized building for wine production.
