WHO YOU’LL BE WORKING FOR: In 2022, England will host the Rugby League World Cup, which will be the biggest and best ever in its history that dates back to 1954 when the tournament began. 32 competing nations in the men’s, women’s and wheelchair competitions will play in 61 matches across 21 venues, including St James’ Park, Elland Road, Emirates Stadium, Copper Box Arena and Old Trafford. The most inclusive sport played in the biggest venues across the country. RLWC2021 Hospitality is joint venture between RLWC and MatchPoint. We are selling and marketing the hospitality programme for the RLWC2021, now being staged in 2022. Job Description

Job Title: Head of Sales - Hospitality Job Purpose: We are looking for an experienced and talented Head of Sales, with a track record in generating new business, achieving sales targets, and the ability/experience to manage and implement sales plans. You should be a leader and self-starter, able to drive sales directly and indirectly via 3rd party sales channels. The role of Head of Hospitality Sales is to achieve sales targets for the Tournament’s Hospitality Programme via direct large corporate sales and sales via 3rd party channels such as clubs, stadia, and marketing partners. Experience in Sports Hospitality sales would be ideal, but other hospitality and business to business sales are transferable. You should have knowledge of and enjoy sport, and an interest in Rugby League is an advantage.

You will play a key role in the team which will deliver hospitality at all 61 matches, across all three tournaments – Men’s, Women’s, and Wheelchair - at venues such as St James’ Park, Elland Road, Old Trafford, and the Emirates Stadium. If you have relevant sales and sales management experience, ability to connect with large corporate customers, clubs, stadia, and other 3rd parties - we would love to hear from you. Reporting To: Programme Director Direct Reports: Sales Lead Location: Manchester or Edinburgh dependent of your circumstances. The role is office based. Remuneration: £48k + bonus (OTE - £60-68k) Additional Benefits: 20 days annual leave, pension scheme. Duration: Fixed term contract until end of November 2022 Hours: 40 hours per week, standard working hours are 8:30 to 17:30 although flexibility is required to ensure core objectives are achieved.
