Design created within a context

Our furniture is designed for situations where people meet and are inspired by each other. In a time where many people have been working from home, we can once again meet in creative environments to discuss and share experiences. This is when we grow and new ideas are born. We are passionate about innovative design and are also solidly committed to environmental issues and social responsibility. In addition, there is always an uncompromising factor when it comes to sustainability and choice of materials. In this brochure we are presenting exciting new products – designed for your specific context.

Cobble bench

Design Mattias Stenberg

Cobble poufs are designed in organic shapes in different sizes. With their irregular silhouettes, they are well-suited to many environments and combinations, and their low weight makes them easy to move. The poufs have a rounded, inviting design, resembling cobbles, hence the name. The option to choose the large pouf with an integrated metal table gives a nice place to put things down. The moulded polyether offers a firm seat that is still soft on the surface. The wooden frame is FSC® labelled and the table is available in Colours by Materia (CbM*) powder coating.

Domino table

The Domino range consisting of table, chair and bench as well as stool and bar stool is characterised by rounded shapes. The tables have pillars or legs of solid ash. The round pillar table has a table top of either solid edge-glued ash or veneered ash, now also available in 900 mm height. The rectangular tables have veneered ash tops. The series is made of FSC® labelled wood and the finish is in white pigmented or black stained ash. The decorative metal fastener against the round table top, and the sand cast iron foot, are both in CbM dark grey powder coating. The tables are intended for cafes, dining rooms, break areas, or other types of spaces with high demands on flexibility and dense furnishing.

Domino stool/bar stool

The elegant Domino series is now supplemented with a stool and a bar stool. Their frame is of solid wood, while the seat tray is made from moulded veneer. The concave shaped seat is available non-upholstered or upholstered. For easy handling the seat is equipped with a grip. The bar stool in the two heights of 630 and 780 mm has a stainless steel footrest. The design is made of FSC® labelled white pigmented or black stained ash. The 450 mm stool can be stacked five high. Domino stool and bar stool are ideally combined with the series’ tables in places like cafes and canteens and for short meetings in the office.

Nomad table

Nomad table is available in different sizes and heights. Like nomads, these tables are designed for flexibility and movement. They are easy to move around and due to the three sizes and numerous material options, they offer many combination possibilities. The shapes are gentle on the eye and hand, and the table has its own distinct personality with a sculptural expression. Choose between clear lacquered oak and white pigmented ash in FSC® labelled solid wood or powder coated metal in Colours by Materia (CbM*).

Petite table

Design Marie Oscarsson

Petite is a coffee table series of small, delicate, round tray tables. The table top is available in metal with a folded edge or in smooth veneered wood. The metal frame is mounted to the table top with a round brass fitting, adding a decorative detail. Petite comes in several sizes, heights and colours and can be combined in small stylish groups to suit different interiors and colour schemes. The veneered table tops made from FSC® labelled wood come in white pigmented ash or clear stained oak and the metal parts are powder coated in Colours by Materia (CbM*). The table’s few constituent parts are easy to replace if necessary, making it sustainable and recyclable. Petite is suitable as a coffee table or side table, either on its own or in a group.

Yarn easy chair

Yarn comes from “The Kinship Method” experimental collaborative project. Based on the armchair, a sleek easy chair has been developed. Sustainability and environmental care are central to the design and choice of materials. In Materia’s production, the back’s beautiful pattern is braided by hand using hemp strings. The seat and back cushions are padded with hairlok, which is a mixture of horsehair and natural latex, as well as needle felt of Swedish sheep wool. For extra comfort, the Swedish sheep wool is also used as padding in the back cushion. The wood in the seat is FSC® labelled and the frame with recycled steel is available in Colours by Materia (CbM*). Yarn easy chair is suitable for many different spaces, such as hotels, lounge areas and offices. The armchair and easy chair are also excellent choices when environmentally friendly furniture is a requirement.
