Drawing upside down At first when drawing images upside down makes seem like a difficult task, but by doing so you don’t focus on what the drawing itself is as much making you focus mainly on the lines and silhouettes of the drawing. Your eyes become more focused where the lines fall and meet with each other on the page, now this is using the right side of the brain. The thing with using the right side of the brain is that you focus on mainly the lines that follow on. In my conclusion I have started to look at shapes much more than previously, but drawing the right way normally I subconsciously see the designs as shapes anyway. But I can see how much it breaks down what see in your head much more so than the right way up. This method has given a whole new perception of how to see things in terms of drawing more precisely in many ways and this can also aid you to improve your technique. The another method similar method to this is by having a piece of the reference image and when slow move the covering paper up while drawing what you see as the paper gradually unravels the reference image.
