It’ s O fficial!

We b ro k e g ro u n d o n Fr i day, J u n e 7 th ! It was a perfect day that included a ceremony, blessing and celebration of this wonderful milestone. Please see the montage of photos from these wonderful celebrations below. We are pleased to announce that we have raised more than $13.6 million towards our goal of $15.5 million. Achieving this important milestone has triggered the second half payment of $1.5 million from the Norcliffe Foundation grant; we anticipate receiving this gift in the next several weeks. This means that we have less than $400,000 remaining to be raised to achieve our campaign goal. While the numbers indicate that we are on track to reach our campaign goal, we still have much work to do. With the formal groundbreaking for the renovation of Peyton Hall, we now enter into the “public” phase of the campaign. Over the summer and into next year we will be reaching out to all of our alumni, past parents and friends to ask for their support in this important effort. This campaign is about more than the renovation of Peyton Hall: it is about providing a building that is seismically safe for our students and an environment that fosters teaching and learning in the 21st century. In addition, if we are to continue to be a Jesuit school that is open and accessible to any qualified student who desires to attend, then we must also continue to increase our endowment. These projects go hand in hand and will secure Seattle Prep for many generations to come. If you have already made a gift to the campaign, thank you! If you have not had the chance to participate, John McKay ’74 and Michele Smith, Campaign Co-Chairs

then we invite you to join us. Sincerely,

Michele Smith

Prep’s Annual Fund for over 25 years, supported Prep’s past three campaigns and have now made a capital gift to Building Our Future: The Campaign for Seattle Prep. In addition, Pat recently made a provision in his estate plans to support the endowment at Seattle Prep to ensure that a Jesuit education is accessible to future generations.
