Portrait series "Waiting for the Spill" show people who live in the Mississippi River Delta and got affected by the Gulf of Mexico oil spill. This part of the region is the most damaged by this environmental disaster as hundreds of families are involved in shrimp and oyster fishing industry. Their business has come to a standstill as a result of the oil spill. Faces of oil-stricken community reflect uncertainty, fears and Text insecurity of those affected by the spill. After the worst oil disaster in American history, these people have to deal with its consequences and uncertainty of the future. It will probably take few generations to recover.
