About MATIAS MOELLENBACH Launched our first collection in August 2016. Matias Moellenbach is a small independent brand with all the products being designed by danish designer and Central Saint Martins graduate Matias Møllenbach. We design and produce the object our selves in close collaboration with the artisanal craftsmen who also make all the products by hand. Our aim is to create strong independent high quality products that doesn’t follow any particular trends, but have their own language and timeless quality.

“The Rooster Cafetíere” The bottom arch is not only for aesthetic purposes. The arch creates a distance between the hot liquid and table - which means you don’t need a coaster or anything else to protect the surface it’s sitting on. Made from borosilicate and is dishwasher safe. Available in clear and yellow.

“Blister Bowl Clear� The curvature are inspired by the blister packaging from the familiar fruit crates seen at your local corner shop. The bowl can be displayed with both sides up, depending on how you wish to display your fruits etc. It comes in an all clear version and a version with iridescent coating.

“Ceramic Tableware� Part of the graduation project from Central Saint Martins. The concept was to design a mix between old British heritage ceramic and Scandinavian design aesthetic. Its made from highly durable stoneware and are dishwasher safe. Comes in Dark Blue, Pale Pink and matte White glaze.

”Glass Lamp” Glass Lamp is as the name suggests made up entirely of mouth blown glass. It’s constructed from 2 pieces of glass with the shade sliding into the base part, fixing itself in place. The joint is at the centre of the lamp with the shade coming out covering a circular light source. When lit, the semi-transparency reflects the light and lights up the entire body. The lamp is blown in Czech Republic by artisanal glassmakers and assembled in our studio in Copenhagen.

”Quasi Chair” The Quasimodo dinning chair is inspired by Victor Hugo’s fictional novel “The Hunchback of NotreDame” The curvature of the chair reflects the characteristics of the main character “Quasimodo” The dinning chair is our first venture into furniture.
The chair is aimed for both private homes as well as restaurants. For it to meet the demands of a restaurant we’ve made sure it stacks very vell, are higly comfortable, lightweight and durable. It comes in smoaked oak and birch veneer as well as cushioned versions.
