THE ‘CREATIVE MEDIA’ EXPERIMENT SALONE 5.0 EDITION | 12 – 17 APRIL 2011 | MILAN & YOU THE CONCEPT 50 years anniversary of the ‘Salone Internazione del Mobile’ in Milan – time to rethink! In this ‘Salone 5.0 edition’, Dizzzy wants to take inspiration from the ‘Salone Internazionale del Mobile’ the world´s most important furniture and design fair in Milan, asking people to upload their documentations via smartphones and computers - ordinary photographs, taken and collected anyway every day by thousands of people get canalized in one common inspirational stream on www.dizzzy.eu. In this state of matter, the pictures are nothing else but an 6-days-long on-going collection of diverse points of views directly and live! from Milan. Simultaneously, Dizzzy provides basic conditions for external collaborators such as this particular live documentary, reference points to obtain interventions and statements about the Salone Internazionale del Mobile in the internet. The task is to elaborate an open-minded and forward thinking creative output referring it to one single documentation picture. As an expression of the fast pace of today´s life, everything happens within the 6 days duration of the Salone 2011. So every single one of the perpetually

uploaded documentation pictures can be reference point for the demanded elaborations. The aim is to get ahead of the Salone Internazionale del Mobile presenting contemporanous revisions of occurrances or exhibition pieces from this same "happening". As Dizzzy defines this "happening" as a prime example for our contemporary society and its behaviour, the reflection on impressions and critical themes can also be interpretated as a much more global cogitation. A cogitation about social and technical developments, about human behaviour and attitudes, trends, habits, conventions and - last but not least - about our own personality. Summing up, Dizzzy tries to create awareness of our everyday environment. Thanks to social networking with all its advantages it opens a new democratic discussion platform visualizing statements towards societal occurrances, deficits and undesirable developments, but also towards its achievements and never-ending potentialities. The new term "creative media" is formed. –––– Remember the first Dizzzy edition on dizzzytoday.blogspot.com
