Description
This is the story of an ordinary mum who challenged conventional medical thinking and transformed the health of her chronically-ill child. Ben was three years old, exhausted, pale, thin and depressed. He was predicted to live with severe allergies, eczema, asthma, intermittent ear surgery, and on steroids - with all their side-effects - for at least a decade. Despite the conventional drugs the doctors, specialists and paediatricians poured down him, all they could do was ease Ben's symptoms and 'manage' his condition.
What Melanie Gow has since discovered is that relying only on prescription drugs is like using only a toaster to cook with; you will never eat roast chicken.Modern medicine's strengths have to be balanced with the understanding that sometimes other things work too. What Mel, a school-run mum, learnt was that the answer is not with the allopath (conventional doctor) and nor is it with the homeopath, or osteopath, or naturopath. They are all options; genuine, effective, valuable ones when used appropriately. They are all routes you can choose to take towards an integrated approach to wellbeing. Fourteen days after Melanie had found a remedy for Ben, his doctor said: 'I don't know what you have done but this child is well'.
