Liquid for farmers use will boost balanced nutrition program by reducing the excess use of Urea application in the soil. The excess urea causes an environmental pollution, harm soil health, and making plant more susceptible for disease & insect infestation, delayed maturity of the crop & production loss. Nano Urea Liquid makes the crops stronger, healthy and protect them from lodging effect.
A 500 ml bottle of IFFCO Nano Urea Liquid will replace at least one bag of conventional Urea. The bottle can significantly bring down the cost of logistics and warehousing. It contains 40,000 ppm of Nitrogen in 500 ml bottle which is equivalent to the impact of nitrogen nutrient provided by one bag of conventional Urea.
IFFCO Nano Urea Liquid is now included in Fertiliser Control Order (FCO, 1985) on the basis of multi- location and multi-crop trials undertaken under National Agriculture Research System (NARS) at 20 ICAR research institutes, State Agriculture Universities and KVKs on 43 crops. To test its efficacy around 11,000 farmer field trials were undertaken. During the trials conducted on 94 crops, an average 8% yield increase was witnessed.
The National Health authorities have decided to continue to use the RICEC venue as a Vaccination Facility until the end of 2021.

DEVENISH LAUNCHES AGRINEWAL, A SUSTAINABLE FARMING INITIATIVE
Agri-technology company Devenish, in collaboration with global professional services firm Accenture, has launched a groundbreaking sustainable farming initiative which will help decarbonise the global agriculture sector by supporting farmers to continue to produce nutritious meat and milk while dramatically improving their carbon balance.
By accurately measuring on-farm carbon emissions and, uniquely, carbon sequestration, it is estimated Agrinewal will enable over five million tons of carbon to be sequestered by 2030. This will create new value for farmers across the island of Ireland, and substantially accelerate the achievement of climate goals while also improving biodiversity, water quality and overall farm resilience.
Using the latest cloud-based technology, it provides a Carbon Balance Sheet and identifies actions which will help the wider agricultural sector reach net zero carbon emissions and beyond, boosting the environmental credentials for producers, processors and at every point on the food chain.
Enterprise Ireland has provided €400,000 of funding for Agrinewal and was launched at Devenish's Lands at Dowth, County Meath, a partner in the Teagasc Signpost Farm Programme.
The output of 21 years of research and science by Devenish and backed by the latest artificial intelligence and cloud technology expertise from Accenture, the system uses precise monitoring and regenerative agriculture practices, such as soil health, biodiversity and carbon sequestration and focuses on the renewal of resources, rather than depletion.
Agrinewal improves on-farm financial performance, soil health, animal welfare and water quality while also reducing harmful emissions and increasing biodiversity. Additionally, it also opens up the possibility of new income streams for farmers from Carbon Farming and Data Analytics.
It allows farmers to maximise the potential of their land in a sustainable fashion and, because each farm will be on the road to achieving net zero and beyond, it will change the narrative around the agriculture sector from a climate problem to a climate solution.
Richard Kennedy, Chief Executive of Devenish, said: "Agrinewal's purpose is to heal the planet and create value for farmers, processors, consumer brands and governments. Our vision is to enable carbon neutral farming on a global scale while at the same time empowering farmers to increase revenues from their work to provide healthy, nutritious food.

of high-quality raw materials and growing media, especially based on renewable raw materials.
“The acquisition fits perfectly into our portfolio,” says Moritz Böcking, Managing Director of the Klasmann-Deilmann Group. “With AGS we are taking another big step into the Australian market, and we are gaining very valuable know-how in composting pine-bark.” KlasmannDeilmann aims to increase the share of renewable raw materials in its Group-wide sales mix to 30% by 2025. AGS had also recently commissioned a wood fibre plant that uses technology developed by KlasmannDeilmann.
“The global demand for growing media constantly increases – due to the rising population and changing nutrition habits. For many decades we have been serving our customers from our substrate manufacturing sites in Europe. Now, we want to take the next step and add a partner-production network to our subsidiaries and in that way use more locally available raw materials,” says Böcking. Klasmann-Deilmann already partners with substrate producers in Europe and in Asia.
AFTER INTERNATIONAL MERGER, GARRA INTERNATIONAL AIMS AT QUINTUPLING ITS REVENUES IN TEN YEARS
Two years after the merger that brought together Brazilian KIT and New Zealander Garra, the joint venture presents itself to the market fully integrated, now under the brand Garra International. And with an ambitious plan: to fivefold its revenues as an animal protein trading company in ten years, from USD 200 million to USD 1 billion. The company’s current numbers are already impressive. The new Garra
MATTHIOLA TRIALS FROM EVANTHIA SHOW A BREEDING BREAKTHROUGH
An ocean of soft tones, pretty pastels and intense colours, and the sweetest scent only Matthiola can offer. The Matthiola Trials of Evanthia are blooming. At the greenhouse of G. van den Beukel in the Westland area of the Netherlands, Evanthia presents its complete range of Matthiola incana. All commercial varieties side-by-side, exciting experimentals, and some very interesting developments for anyone who works with this stunning stock.
Peter van Noort (Manager Genetics), Leo Boers and George van Klink (both Crop Advisors) from Evanthia accompany guests through the extensive trials. One of its highlights: the relatively new series Matthiola Milla. From early spring until midsummer, Milla easily produces sufficient stem length compared to other varieties in the market. Milla has a very uniform crop, strong stems and excellent flower quality. The range is expanded with specialty colours like Salmon, Aubergine and Light Pink. Most interesting of Evanthia’s Matthiola trial is for sure a new development that could be the solution of a challenge breeders, young plant producers and growers of Matthiola face. Selection of double-flowered plants at the seedling stage is one of the main purposes of the stock breeding program. The breeders of Evanthia managed to develop a robust range of Matthiolas with woodier stems that is easy to select for doubleness after a cold treatment, resulting in an excellent series with 100% double flowers.
Peter van Noort (Manager Genetics): “With this new series we truly combine the best of both worlds: the sturdy and long-lasting features of Japanese stock and the selectability of European stock.” This promising new series of Evanthia is now in full production. Next season the breeding company will start up pre-commercial trials in close cooperation with young plant producers and growers.
trades 120 thousand tons of poultry, beef and lamb every year – selling to approximately 500 customers in more than 60 markets. And, to meet such demand, it has operations in ten countries, including Brazil, United States, Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Australia, and New Zealand.
“We united a fully innovative company, with exponential growth, as KIT was, with all the tradition of quality and services that Garra had. Now, together, we can offer more services, in more countries, as well as other product options to our current customers and those to come”, says Frederico Kaefer, CEO of the company.
To achieve its growth target in the next decade, Garra International counts on a favorable global scenario. In 2021, the production of animal protein is expected to reach 346 million tons, the highest number in history, according to data from FAO – the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization. By 2050, the consumption of these products should grow by 73% when compared to 2011.
This expansion is not only the result of population growth, but also an increase in income in developing countries. “China and India, for example, still have a low per capita consumption of meat. But these numbers have been expanding as their purchasing power increases, accompanied by a culture change in these countries”, says Kaefer.
The global production, however, does not grow at the same rate, generating opportunities for wellpositioned companies. “It is a market with very high demand and many players. In a scenario like this, buyers are seeking relationships of trust, relevant connections, which allow them to find complete solutions in a single place. And today, we are ready to face this new moment”, says Kaefer.
Garra acts as a facilitator on both ends of the business, for buyers (distributors and food processors) and suppliers. And it does that by narrowing bridges and shortening distances – its offices around the globe provide great proximity to customers and agility in solving problems.

FANTURA TUNNEL INLET PREVENTS COLD AIR DROP WITH TUNNEL VENTILATION
The typical feature of a tunnel ventilation system is the fans installed in the rear gable of a house and an air inlet at the front of the house. This creates the so-called tunnel effect where air flows over the animals at high speed and creates a cooling breeze. With a wind speed of 1.5 m/second - similar to a sea breeze - that wind chill effect can already cause the actual temperature in the house of 34 degrees Celsius to feel like 24 degrees and help prevent heat stress. With the Fantura tunnel inlet you create a perfectly controllable tunnel ventilation system.
What makes the Fantura tunnel inlet unique is the special way it opens. The panels slide smoothly from top to bottom and create a gradual increase in the flow of ventilation flow in the house.
The gradual opening action in combination with the inlet's unique shape, also make the tunnel inlet ideal for minimum ventilation. A jet stream bundles the incoming air for a better throw that directs the air straight to the ridge of the building. This effect is a good way of cutting costs as there is no need to install additional inlets above the tunnel inlet.
With a capacity of no less than 38,000 m3, the Fantura tunnel inlet delivers a top performance. The inlet is airtight and well insulated and made of materials that are perfectly resistant to weather influences and the aggressive substances in the air inside the house. Users can rely on years of trouble-free operation.
A Fantura inlet system is a complete package with actuator and an intelligent control computer. Just one actuator is needed to accurately control the system.
The new tunnel inlet is part of the series of Fantura air inlet systems which all feature the special patented inlet design. Fantura eliminates a cold drop on the animals. The manure remains dry and prevents leg problems. Your animals stay healthy and perform better. In addition, the consistent growth conditions promote uniformity.

MERISTEM LAUNCHES EXCAVATOR TO HELP HIGH-YIELD FARMERS BREAK DOWN RESIDUE
EXCAVATOR™, a new biological designed to break down tough crop residue and clear the way for today’s high-speed planters, was announced by Meristem Crop Performance. A unique collection of bacteria and amino acids, EXCAVATOR stimulates natural biological activity that speeds residue decay and releases nutrients faster.
“EXCAVATOR springs from our effort to test, refine and make available new biologicals at a price point that can improve every farmer’s ROI (return on investment),” says Mitch Eviston, founder and CEO of Meristem. “Our alliance with Larry Fiene and Planet Earth Agronomy is already paying out with more ways to serve farmers and break down barriers to in-field application of this beneficial technology.”
EXCAVATOR is geared to solving consequences of better genetics, faster planters, and higher yields. Since 1991, average corn yields in America have increased from 108.6 bushel per acre (BPA) in 1991 to 172 BPA in 2020 according to USDA. To grow and fill out heavier ears, corn stalks got stronger. To gain yield, plant populations went up, creating more residue. Meanwhile, planter speeds have doubled in recent years and 10-mph is now common. All these issues converge into a big challenge for high-yield growers: How do I get the crop in the ground quickly, while avoiding skips and gaining the consistent stand crucial to high yields?
“Our planting system is designed to get the crop planted inside of six days,” says Indiana grower Craig Armstrong. “Anything that
JIFFY LAUNCHES FLEXISTART
helps us move faster and still get even germination is probably worth it.” He plans on using more EXCAVATOR this year after seeing good early results in his test plots.
“The big issue with crop residue is that the planter will come through and the coulter will be unable to cut the trash,” explains Fiene, field agronomist and founder/CEO of Planet Earth Agronomy. “Instead, it will bend into the soil. As a result, some seeds will get pinned in folded trash and they won’t germinate, or worse, they will germinate late and end up being weeds.”
Fiene says the blend of six proprietary microbes in EXCAVATOR™ stimulate and fortify biological activity that will also release field-available nutrients from crop residue faster. Initial data indicates increases of up to 30-40 lbs N, 5-10 lbs P and 35-40 lb K in the crop following EXCAVATOR™ application. On average, Fiene says he’s seeing a yield advantage of 7.5 bushel per acre in his research with

EMERGE™ PROVIDES A SUSTAINABLE, PLANT-BASED PROTEIN INGREDIENT FOR PET AND AQUACULTURE FEED
Scoular, a 128-year-old company based in Omaha, Nebraska creates safe and reliable supply chain solutions for end-users and suppliers of grain, feed ingredients, and food ingredients announced the name for its new sustainable and innovative barley-based protein source for aquaculture and pet food: Emerge™. Emerge, both traceable and non-GMO, is the only barley-based protein for feed customers.
“As the demand for clean-label protein grows, both the aquaculture and pet food industries are seeking alternative and sustainable plant-based protein sources,” said Scoular manager JC Olson. “Emerge is a high-quality ingredient to meet this demand for the feed ingredient supply chain.”
Barley, an ancient grain, is sustainable because it contributes to water conservation systems and is grown in areas where it does not contribute to deforestation of rainforest ecosystems. In aquaculture, Emerge is highly digestible, helping to reduce phosphate discharge and water pollution.
For pet food, Emerge delivers a neutral flavor and natural color. In dog feeding trials measuring palatability, it was equal or superior to both animal and vegetable protein sources.
Olson said Emerge is created through a patented process that concentrates the protein naturally found in whole barley kernels, creating a nutrientdense product. Scoular expects to begin producing Emerge in September after completing construction on its manufacturing facility in Jerome, Idaho.
SAUDI-BASED SUSTAINABLE AGTECH FIRM RED SEA FARMS, A SALT-WATER GROWING SPECIALIST, RECEIVES $10M INVESTMENT
Red Sea Farms, a Saudi Arabian AgTech business whose one-of-akind technology enables the commercial farming of produce using primarily salt water, received a $10 million venture capital investment from a group of leading Saudi and UAE investors.
The investment in Red Sea Farms, which is based at King Abdullah University for Science & Technology (KAUST) 60 miles north of Jeddah, is one of the region’s largest AgTech investments to date. The consortium reflects growing investor interest in the Gulf in sustainable farming solutions that can combat pandemics and global supply chain disruptions.
The funding is being led by a group of Saudi and UAE investors including the Aramco entrepreneurship arm Wa’ed, the non-profit foundation Future Investment Initiative Institute, KAUST and Global Ventures, a UAE venture capital group. The funding is one of the first AgTech investment for many of the participants.
Red Sea Farms was established in 2018 with a vision to reduce food insecurity, carbon and fresh water use in the global and Gulf food sectors. The company’s unique, end-to-end growing system primarily uses salt water, cutting fresh-water consumption by 85 to 90 percent. Through a patented system of new, more efficient solar and growth monitoring technologies, salt water replaces fresh water typically used to cool greenhouses and irrigate crops.
Red Sea Farms’ growing systems can be quickly and easily scaled in climates such as the Middle East, where conventional farming methods are not possible or costeffective. The company is initially using its technology to grow and sell tomatoes in Saudi Arabia, but ultimately plans to sell entire turnkey growing systems to buyers around the world.
