Resolutely turned towards the future, the SOMMET DE L’ELEVAGE international livestock trade show is placing its 2021 edition under the sign of economic relaunch. For its 30th edition, the SOMMET offers itself a passage to 4 opening days, a new exhibition hall of 10,000 m² and is now available in digital version with an app and new web services dedicated to both exhibitors and visitors. 2021 is therefore another important step in the development of the show with the aim of crossing the threshold of 100,000 visitors and 1,500 exhibitors from 35 countries.
A new exhibition hall
With a total area of 10,000 m² and two conference rooms, the new ultra-modern and bright exhibition hall will accommodate more exhibitors in better conditions and develop new sectors (renewable energies, transformation of agricultural products on the farm…).
The SOMMET is available in digital
The SOMMET digital version is the opportunity for exhibitors to promote their products to the SOMMET DE L'ELEVAGE community throughout the year thanks to a dedicated mobile app and new web services (marketplace, webinars, B2B online meeting…).
Aubrac and Simmental breeds in national competition
SOMMET 2021 will once again bring together the best of French and European livestock with the presence of more than 2,000 animals representing nearly 70 breeds of cattle, sheep and horses.
On the beef side, the Aubrac breed will be in the spotlight with a major national competition bringing together the 400 best specimens of the breed. As for dairy cattle, the Simmental breed will inaugurate the new dairy hall (hall 4) with around a hundred cows in national competition as well.
VIP welcome for international visitors
As every year, the thousands of foreign visitors present will benefit from a privileged welcome with a free entry to the show, a special livestock gala evening, an access to the International Business Club and its many services (interpreters, etc.) as well as a program of 25 visits to farms and other agro-industrial sites. Unique in the world!
