[ about me ] I decided to move from my country for live a new life experience, meet new people and expanding my knowledge in this profession. I consider myself creative and plenty of initiative. I enjoy working and learn something new from every person that I meet. I have gained work experience during and after university, where I’ve learned to be confident with the clients, work in a group and by myself and adapt to different working environments.

Letter of Recommendation for Matteo Pollani Matteo Pollani was a student of mine during the specialist for sustainability at the Institute of architecture of Venice " IUAV". In this environment, Matteo has completed three important university experience: the integrated course of design in the academic year 2008-09 was the first experience, where the main theme was the study of school spaces and their relationships with the urban context. My role was a lecturer for the architectural design course; second occasion was during the intensive workshop called "Atlas of Laguna 2050" (www.atlantelaguna2050.blogspot.it) coordinated by the undersigned where the search was focused in the proposal of different scenarios for the sustainable transformation of the Venetian lagoon; last academic experience with the candidate is the preparation of the thesis (www.sustainabilityalbrecht.blogspot.it), under my supervision as a teacher, which he has deepened the research started by the workshop mentioned above. The relations between us has not interrupted after his time at university, and together we participated in several architectural competitions deepening themes already met by the candidate, as you will be able to read in the presentation material, obtaining positive results in some of them . Ended this period of post-graduate experience I decided to put Matteo in the team of my architectural office. This experience lasted almost a year, and he participated with my team in the development of projects for healthcare facilities in earthquake countries of Emilia Romagna district from concept to construction. He has always been brilliant both as a student and as a junior architect. I found his work very interesting for its content, for the mode of representation especially in the three-dimensional as well as for research positions. I consider his decision to move to Australia it an important choice and I agree totally. This country is an ideal place for a period of study and improvement of his professional. This experience is an opportunity to make a quantum leap in his career and in his personal life. I leave my contacts for more information. Venezia, 12th March 2013

Best regards Arch. Mauro Frate
