Money - It’s your beliefs that count.

Beliefs are powerful and become the framework for our lives. They can be helpful or unhelpful.

To paraphrase Henry Ford, ‘Whether you believe you can afford to do a thing or not, you’re right’.

If you are holding onto limiting beliefs around money, you are literally blocking the natural flow of money. So, if you want more money, it’s a good idea to clear out these disempowering beliefs.

How do we do this?

Step 1 Observe your inner dialogue to become aware of your beliefs. Many are hidden in the deepest recesses of the mind. However, if you aren’t aware of them you can’t possibly change them.

Step 2 Write down all the statements you remember hearing about money when you were young. For example: ‘You must work hard to earn money’ ‘We can’t afford………..’ ‘There is always enough to go round.’

Step 3 Highlight any statements that are limiting. These are your limiting beliefs and are costing you!

Step 4 Run each limiting belief through these questions. 1. Where did I learn this from? 2. Do I really believe this? 3. What wo uld happen if I could let go of this belief? 4. Cou ld I let it go now? 5. How do I feel when I consider this? 6. Can I creat e a rational reason to change this belief? 7. My new empowering belief is…..

Congratulations! You now know how to identify and loosen limiting beliefs. Next time you hear yourself saying a statement that limits you, get out these questions, and change that belief now!

Our amazing Chef Graeme has worked hard with the team to design a menu focused on sharing. Sharing our time, our experiences, our passion and of course, our food. Getting to know Graeme.

What inspired you to become a chef? I came into this career late by chef standards, starting in a professional kitchen at 22. I loved the challenge of creating dishes that were memorable and exciting. That’s what food does, awakens the senses. Like how a certain smell invokes memories of grandma’s home baking, of an amazing holiday adventure or just a happy memory in general, we as chefs are charged with invoking such emotions.

What do you love about living on the Sunshine Coast? The relaxing and beautiful surroundings, I live in a holiday destination with an amazing array of beaches which is very different from where I came from. It’s a wonderful place to bring up my young family. By catering standards the produce here is becoming more readily available and the standard of locally grown and sourced produce is excellent.

What is your favourite food dining in/out? Tapas! I work on the move constantly so usually something quick. I love the idea of sharing food with friends, be it simple or slowly braised and thoroughly packed with flavour.
