led the design from the schematic design through design development until the construction documentation phase. My role involved generating several design proposals, renderings, and presentations to best accommodate the program that the client, Nino Mier, needed to have in its new space. Throughout the process, I had to conduct site visits, create field reports, and create technical drawings and documentation to price out the project and eventually its construction. Specifically, I generated layout designs for the exhibition room, viewing room, offices, and storage areas. Produced schematic design drawings to guide the project construction documentation.

Nino Mier Gallery is a contemporary art gallery with locations in Los Angeles, Brussels, and New York. The gallery was founded in 2015 by Nino Mier, a German art dealer who previously worked for major auction houses such as Sotheby’s and Christie’s. KARA POP-UP

RETAIL DESIGN

LOCATION -New York City

LEAD ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNER

Pop-up retail store featuring the acclaimed fashion brand Kara, transforming the Assembly project space in Lower East Side, New York City. I conceptualized the space, developed the overarching design theme, and meticulously crafted the pedestals designed to showcase the brand’s unique handbags.

Collaborating closely with the esteemed Italian Stylist Andrea Grossi, I incorporated the unique fabric that was exclusively produced for the bag collection showcased at the pop-up store. Leveraging this denim material, I conceived and executed the design of pedestals of varying heights and shapes strategically placed throughout the specifically chosen monochromatic orange space.

The deliberate choice to envelop the pedestals in blue denim created a striking contrast within the predominantly orange environment. This thoughtful interplay between the distinct shades of blue and orange resulted in a truly unparalleled space that seamlessly aligned with the brand’s distinctive identity.
