Project 02:
Tectonics
This Project has us work through steps of the build process, working with different spacial sizes and how materials work with each other
Project 1:
CASE STUDY
This first project revolving around the Lino Bo Bardi House, Casa de Vidro, was all about reading the site and extrapolating meaning from the design of the building.
Project 2:
Mondo-Materialis
In layman’s terms this was trying to get the “vibe” of the building and what you thought were the most important aspects of the structure. This was also was helping us students with development digitally and material selection
Project 1:
Visitors Center
This project was a test of strength for some, we started it during the corona pandemic and that was the first time most of us had worked remotely. This project was more about the workflow when you reflect on in. Seeing how you could adapt to an entirely new environment of doing work.
Before Mid-crit
Post Mid-crit
The NEW plan
Module1:
The Collage
This first module was all about Photoshop, the ones who knew it were getting back into it and the ones who didn’t, they learned. This was experimenting with our abstract ideas of trying to manipulate photographs to make something coherent
The location chosen: The Art Museum
After a few iterations, I decided to go for this base of an idea
Final Product: Castle in the Clouds
Module2:
Monograph
This project focused on the ways that we can convey information through the program Adobe Indesign. This was also a project that was continued through the corona pandemic and challenged us to make a book with the materials we had at our own house.
First sketches after choosing topic: Tiny Houses

For this book i would’ve tried to get the book to match the theme of these houses (which pretty small). and also trying to be pretty thick by printing on sheets of bristol/drawing paper
Final Theoretical Cover Page
TINY HOUSES BIG LIVING
Module3:
Site Analysis
This final project for this class was all about reading the site and what is around, through, and on top of it. Trying to diagram all of this into Adobe Illustrator and AutoCAD. This was just a basic intro to both since the quarantine never kept us go as in depth as we would’ve liked
The final product for this tested our telling of how much we needed versus how much was over baring. The project could have been done with line types, line weights, transparencies or others. I chose a simple color palate and lots of opacities/transparencies to work with
