Sectional Perspective The distillery building integrates itself within an existing heritage building on the intersection of Mill and Trinity street. The three main programmatic elements within the building are an alcohol tasting bar, functional distillery, and restaurant.

Sectional Perspective The organic tree pattern takes its inspiration from the Fibonacci sequence. This pattern repeats itself in the facade, the structure, and the interior design elements within the building.

Sectional Perspective The art of dance is connected directly to the body. Because of this the focus of this design is the human scale, organic proportion, and the strength of community. The golden section within the residential facade mirrors the organic forms growing in the courtyard.

Program Separation Maintains privacy for residents and organizes circulation between the public and private.
Low E Coated Windows Reduces solar heat gain and as a result reduces the total yearly cooling load.
Central Stair Encourages walking within the building and engages with the street.
Triple Glazed Low U value, improves thermal resistance of assembly.
Roof Gardens Provides residents with public growing spaces and absorbs rainwater.

An energy study of the home was conducted using bill data and manual water meter measurements. A blower door test was used to determine the severity of the air leakage through the existing envelope. After the proposed assembly upgrades, testing demonstrated that the home now achieves passive house standard.
