RISE The aim was to flexibly combine tables in size and height via simple replacement of the table legs. A traditional housed joint is used to connect the tabletop with the legs. Detachment of the legs allows for easy transportation and shipment material legs: birch top: birch plywood lacquered

The table leg is inserted into the correspondent part. The positive connection in form of a housed joint ensures stability

The easy exchangeability of the legs allows for flexible table sizes, offering options to arrange them at one’s convenience, whether as individual items of furniture or as a cluster

The frame consists of a 35*35 mm cross-section. Since seating surfaces and the backrest have the same dimensions, the chair only consists of two items material legs + seat: oak

SPLIT The development of this pendant light was inspired by the harmony between wood and concrete. By attaching a shadow gap the lampshade gets a hovering effect. The light shed upwards into the gap reinforces this impression. The fixture between the upper lid and the lampshade are effected by means of two wooden plugs. Due to the synergy of form, light and material, the lamp creates a warm impression material upper lid: birch lamp shade: concrete

FREI_RAUM submission for NWW Design Award 2014 ANTIFRAGILITÄT - „AUFnutzung statt ABnutzung“ ANTIFRAGILITY - „wear ON not wear OFF“ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xdmbGEL5KaI

„wear ON“ through… CONCEPT FREI_RAUM is a flexible furniture system that can be used in many different variations within a room. The flexibility provides an easy way to adapt to the given spatial situations. As a result the system allows for a long-living furnishing solution

„wear ON“ through… SYSTEM The items are based on a square grid of 60x60 cm. Their combination works by either stringing them together or stacking them up. Stacking up made possible by a plug-in connection system. The materials being used are oak wood in combination with natural fabric covers

„wear on“ through… EMOTION Whether as a shelving system, sitting accommodation, storage or side table, the user is able to create their own four walls and therefore develops an emotional bond to the object

MARY & JOE The idea was to combine the side table with the lamp into one piece of furniture. Three coning legs penetrate two table tops with the third leg serving as a lamp stand. The horizontal lamp piece is removeable and equipped with an on-off switch material legs: oak tables: MDF white lacquered
