The reason LED lights are so popular are down to their durability, long lifespan and easy installation they also contain no hazardous substances. On the other hand CF lights may require speciality fixtures, they are also easily breakable and have a lifespan about one-fifth that of a LED light, also CF lights contain mercury which can become very dangerous when the gas is released. Also because CF lights take a long time to heat up it means that it takes a long time for the light to fully brighten up.
