Dr. Megan Girmscheid recently opened her new practice, Dental Haven, in the Berry Farms community of Franklin. Sit back, relax, and smile as she built Dental Haven as a safe place for patients to come and receive quality and gentle dental care using the most innovative technologies. “It's my passion and my purpose. Dentistry is my way of helping and serving the community”, Dr. Girmscheid said. After spending seven years with Dental Bliss, she was ready to step out on her own and created a boutique, spa-like atmosphere for her patients where they will feel relaxed and experience soothing care.

Dr. Girmscheid grew up in Louisville, Kentucky, and at the early age of 15, decided to pursue a career in dentistry after she got her braces removed. Her beautiful new smile gave her brand-new confidence, and she knew that she wanted to provide that same feeling to others. Dr. Girmscheid received her Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition with a minor in vocal performance from the University of Kentucky and later went on to receive her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry, DMD, from the University of Louisville.

As you walk into Dental Haven, you will be greeted by smiling faces and the modern amenities of a warm and inviting sanctuary. After a consultation or cleaning by one of their hygienists, you will meet with Dr. Girmscheid and receive a comprehensive oral exam. The team goes the extra mile in discussing any concerns and/or goals you have for your smile, ultimately outlining a unique treatment plan tailored specifically to your needs.

Dental Haven offers a complete range of dental services including preventive, cosmetic, and restorative dentistry along with teeth whitening, Botox, and veneers. Dr. Girmscheid knows that some patients deal with dental anxiety and offers a variety of sedation options to make their experience relaxing and stress-free. “I wanted to create a calming place for patients to get the care that they need. Some patients have had traumatic experiences in the past and some are just nervous about the experience. “Regardless of the scenario, I have the experience of treating these patients and getting their oral health back on track,” said Dr. Girmscheid. “Their concerns will be heard, and they will receive the care that they need, with no judgement.”
