Tawam Hospital maintains JCI accreditation Tawam Hospital, in affiliation with Johns Hopkins Medicine, has once again received international accreditation from the Joint Commission International (JCI). The JCI improves the quality of patient care by assisting international health care organizations, public health agencies, health ministries and others evaluate, assess and demonstrate the quality of patient care. Tawam Hospital was one of the first Joint Commission International accredited government hospitals in the UAE. Receiving JCI accreditation provides assurance that the standards, training and processes used to survey the performance of health care organizations meet the highest international benchmarks for accreditation entities. Ahlam Al Sheiban, Director, Department of Performance at Tawam Hospital, said that to maintain the level of care and meet such high international standards is a great endorsement of the hospital’s commitment to its patients. “We are determined to provide quality patient care in terms of medical treatment and emotional support.
