Swiss Catamaran Concept
Safe, performing and comfortable multihulls Swiss Catamaran Concept produces offshore sailing multihulls for the most demanding owners Applying the traditional Swiss quality to leisure sailing, the SCC catamarans are excellent seaworthy boats. Manufactured in sandwich glass epoxy, with carbon reinforcements, they benefit from a modern and efficient design; their construction is top of the art. The on-board electronics, as well as the rigging, the engines or fittings have also been selected for their quality and durability, without compromise. The SCC catamarans are top of the range yachts; they benefit in their standard version from many attributes of comfort usually found on luxury yachts such as a freezer, a washing machine or an air conditioning unit. They are also fast yachts that perform well in all conditions thanks to their retractable daggerboards, carbon rigging, composite sails and a design that combines comfort and performance.
SCC’s design team has conceived the S2C 45, S2C 55 and S2C 75 catamarans with those specifications in mind, for sailors who like to cruise offshore, who appreciate speed and comfort, and who consider safety as a priority. The SCC catamarans will be particularly appreciated by those who want to go far without being hampered by technical constraints and repairs. First imagined and promoted by Jürg Von Ins, the SCC catamarans are designed by Sebschmidt yacht design and built by CMM boatyard in Antalya, Turkey, under Christophe Buholzer’s supervision. Three S2C 55 catamarans have been built to date, and the first S2C 45 will be showcased for the first time at the Cannes Boat Show in 2013.

S2C 45
Ideal shorthanded Conceived for families and people who like to sail shorthanded, the S2C 45 can easily be managed singlehanded The S2C 45 is based on the basic principles that have made the success and the reputation of Swiss Catamaran Concept: a flawless construction, marine qualities associated with optimal performances and comfort. Ideally suited for people who navigate shorthanded — couples or families — the S2C 45 can easily be sailed singlehanded. All manoeuvers are indeed centralised at the centre of the roof, near the helm. The S2C 45 is particularly well suited for couples and families, with the parent’s bedroom in one hull and the children’s bedroom in the other one, with enough space left to welcome friends in an independent cabin. The interior is very comfortable; it is aimed at reducing the nuisances from the waves, with the beds facing the direction of the navigation.
The S2C 45 is adapted to the Nordic market and he can sail through the dams in Germany, Holland and other Nordic countries. Its price is competitive; it includes anything needed to sail offshore as soon as the boat comes out of the yard, including a tender, four sails, a generator, electronics and electricity, a TV, a fridge, a freezer and much more. The S2C 45 will be showcased for the first time at the Cannes Boat Show in 2013.

S2C 55
A dream boat! The S2C 55 has been conceived with a high quality finish and is first and foremost a fast and seaworthy cruising yacht The S2C 55 is a cruising catamaran designed and developed to answer the expectations of most demanding owners in cruising. It has been specifically designed with blue-water cruising in mind. The S2C 55 is a cat with exceptional boathandling and the standard package comes with a comprehensive range of extras required for long passages. The generator, desalinator, air conditioning, heating, onboard electronics (radar, communication and navigational equipment), sails, kevlar running rigging and even the anti-fouling are included in the advertised price. Thanks to generous stowage, the S2C 55 can be provisioned for 20 days at sea with a crew of eight. Her carbon mast, square-topped mainsail, high-profile rudders, ergonomic double helm and her longitudinal cabins all go towards making this yacht a fast ocean-going boat. With the aim of simplifying the on-board systems, the designers have removed the hydraulic system notorious
for serious breakdowns. Particular attention has also been given to optimising natural ventilation and solar protection in order to guarantee comfort in all conditions whilst minimising energy consumption. The S2C 55 is available in either ‘charter’ or ‘owner’ versions with four or three cabins respectively. She also weighs in at approximately five tones less than her nearest competitors, giving her unrivalled performance in her class. Finally, her Swiss pedigree ensures a level of finish and unparalleled quality in a boat that provides considerable value for money.
