Background
I was born and raised in Brazil and studied Physical Education because of my background as an athlete. I taught for two years in the field. I love spending time with my family, traveling, enjoying the outdoors, listening to good music (good old rock n’ roll), savoring delicious food, reading, and going to the movies.
Why Issuu?
My decision to join Issuu was influenced by a combination of factors, including the exciting product and technology, the company's reputation as a great employer, and the potential to be part of an organization that was at the forefront of digital publishing and content sharing. Moreover, during the interview process and interactions with the team, I was genuinely impressed by the quality of people working at Issuu. Their expertise, and collaborative spirit further solidified my desire to become a part of the Issuu team.
What can we expect from you?
You can expect several things from me. I take pride in being punctual and organized, so I aim to deliver my work on time and in a structured manner. I consider myself an extremely funny person, I enjoy a good sense of humor and will try to bring some light-heartedness when appropriate.
In terms of technical skills, I wouldn't say they are "amazing," but I have a solid foundation. I bring a diverse set of skills and passions to the table, allowing me to approach problems and tasks from various angles. I believe this diversity enriches my perspective and makes me adaptable in different situations.

Do you have any pets?
Several different pets. Image from iStockPhoto
Pets have always been an integral part of our family life, both in Brazil and now here in Portugal. It's heartwarming to see that the love for animals transcends borders, and our family couldn't resist the charm of adopting two adorable kittens – a boy and a girl.
Watching these little furballs play and explore their new surroundings has been an absolute joy. Their playful antics never fail to bring a smile to our faces. Our kids have formed a special bond with them too. It's great to see how pets can bring so much happiness and companionship into our lives, no matter where we call home.
What are your hobbies?
All kinds of equipment, most related to sports. Image from iStockPhoto
My hobbies have evolved over the years, but they've always been a big part of my life. Back in the day, I was quite the athlete, playing basketball from middle school right up to college. It was a passion that kept me on my toes and helped shape who I am today. I'm proud to say that I hold a black belt in one karate style and a brown belt in another. Martial arts have always been a way for me to stay disciplined and focused.
Now, a few more years down the road, my interests have expanded. I've developed a love for the finer things in life, like good movies, books, and food. I find real joy in cooking for my family and friends – there's something about sharing a delicious meal that brings people closer together. And speaking of togetherness, I'm all about family time, especially when it involves travel. Exploring new places with my loved ones is an experience like no other.
When night falls, you'll often find me indulging in some quality TV series. There's just something about a captivating story on the screen that can transport you to different worlds and keep you hooked. So, you could say I've traded in my basketball sneakers for a chef's apron and a remote control, but the love for new experiences and staying active in different ways is still very much a part of who I am.
Any fun fact about you?
Fun Fact text. Image from iStockPhoto
I've had quite a journey through life, and I've been fortunate to experience some pretty unique things. As I mentioned before, one of those memorable moments was working as stage security at Ozzfest, it was an adrenaline-pumping experience, to say the least.
But that's not all. I also had a stint as a busboy at a fancy restaurant, and during that time, I had the honor of serving Nicko McBrain, the drummer for the legendary band Iron Maiden. It's not every day you get to interact with a rock legend while clearing tables!
Another exciting chapter in my life was when I worked for a company that provided services to the real CSI Miami. It was a surreal experience, and I even had my moments on the TV show called 48 Hours, are you curious? Ask me about i. )))
One of my proudest accomplishments during my time in the USA was learning English from scratch while working. I went from zero English skills to becoming an English teacher with a Cambridge Certificate. It was a challenging journey, but I'm incredibly proud of the progress I made and the opportunities it opened up for me.
For the majority of those almost 9 years in the USA, I worked for a Funeral Home. It might sound daunting, but I took great pride in providing compassionate service to families during difficult times. It was a meaningful and rewarding experience in its own way.
