BOARD MESSAGES

The assistance of our Kiwanis advisors and faculty advisors do a great service to our club, division, and district. They provide us with guidance, time, and love as we all grow as leaders. They help us book venues, get money from clubs all the way to the district, sponsor schools for trips, and overall provide emotional support. Thank you Kiwanis and faculty advisors!

District Officer Candidate Training Conference

On February 4th, the CNH district held a district officer candidate training conference in which I was able to meet many dedicated key club members and learned a lot of information regarding the district executive positions and election process of running for those interested! It was very fun and I was able to share a meal of Jersey Mike's with the many other wonderful people in the room! We were able to talk and question past district board executives and I can't wait to see who decides to run at DCON to be our next executives!

Key To My Heart

What’s swinging MKC! My name is Allison Lam and this month on the 11th from 3-5 we had the key to my heart social. It was really cute!! Gathered together was a small group of people around 15 people. We talked and did some fun little games to find our soulmates. I think the little group was good because we really got to know each other and bond; where as with a big group you mostly stick to the people you already know. We played games with chips, tic tac toe, and blindfolded racing. It was TOOOO funny. I think the event was a success and really enjoyed it. The people there were an awesome group and I hope to see them again. Thats it from me!

D13N DCM: SPRING INTO ACTION

Heyyyy Mayfair Key Club!! My name is Robert Ayala and I'm a general member. On February 25th, 2023 I attended February DCM that was from 12:00PM to 3:00PM. It was a good time overall. We were able to see our new LTG Elect which was really cool. We also played fun board games and I gotta admit it got really competitive with some games. All in all a fun experience, I really enjoyed it!!!

Conclave

This conclave, held on February 4th, was a very big day for me and the region!! After lots of nerves and preparation this was the big day of electing the new region 8 ltgs! Key clubbers got dressed in nice formal wear, myself in a suit, and delegates and other audience members all gathered in to watch the speeches and caucus of the candidates. I was first up and weeks of preparation payed off as I delivered my speech and answered caucus questions. After that the audience members got to watch the speeches of the other region 8 candidates while candidates not on stage prepared nervously or relaxed behind the scenes. After 6 hours and some Panda Express it was finally time for the results to be announced! I was elected as a region 8 ltg elect alongside Stephen Nguyen, Katherine Dinh, Kaycee Daez, and Kylie Dela Cruz. It was a very momentous day and it was great to see all the new leadership of region 8, and of course start my new journey in key club!!
