DAY 2 Boston City Tour and Plymouth Rock: Over 350 years of history await you on a sightseeing tour of Boston’s historic Freedom Trail including the Public Garden. Enjoy free time for lunch at Faneuil Hall before heading to the historic town of Plymouth, site of the “Rock,” and where our forefathers first landed on American soil. DAY 3 Martha’s Vineyard: This morning, ferry to the resort

island of Martha’s Vineyard, a playground for many rich and famous, including former President Clinton. The island’s coast has astounding cliffs at Gay’s Head with spectacular shoreline views. Visit the village of Edgartown with its quaint gingerbread cottages and narrow streets. Meals: B, D

DAY 4 Newport and Breakers Mansion: Entering the smallest New England state, arrive in Newport, Rhode Island. This fascinating seaport is famous not only for its maritime history, but also for the fabulous summer homes built there during

America’s glamorous “Gilded Age.” Visit Vanderbilt’s Breakers Mansion and get a glimpse of how America’s most elite families lived at the turn of the century. After free time in Newport, continue to Vermont, your home for the night. Meal: B

DAY 5 The Backroads of Vermont: This morning, set out

along the scenic back roads of Vermont,which take you through such beautiful mountain villages as Newfane and Grafton. Weston is home to the Vermont Country Store, “Purveyors of the Practical and Hard-To-Find,” and Woodstock has been called the “prettiest small town in America.” While Vermont’s maple syrup season takes place in the spring, maple syrup products are readily available. Also enjoy a stop at Quechee Gorge State Park. This impressive river chasm is often referred to as Vermont’s “Little Grand Canyon” and offers spectacular views. Later, continue on to Lincoln, New Hampshire, your home for the next two nights. Meals: B, D

DAY 6 Kancamagus Scenic Byway and Conway Scenic Railroad: This morning, follow the Kancamagus Scenic Byway through the White Mountains. Considered one of the world’s most spectacular fall-foliage trips, the road meanders through vast forests, old logging roads, and Indian hunting paths. In North Conway, board the Conway Scenic Railroad for a leisurely ride through the White Mountains aboard vintage rail

Today, set sail for a journey across Lake Winnipesaukee on what has been called the “most beautiful cruise in New England.” Sail from the home port of Weirs Beach aboard the Mount Washington to Wolfeboro, known as the oldest resort town in New Hampshire. Continue to Kennebunkport, one of Maine’s coastal jewels and the summer home to many of America’s rich and famous. DAY 2 Boston and Kennebunkport, Maine: Begin the day

with a sightseeing tour of historic Boston including the Freedom Trail and the Public Garden. Travel the coast and stop at Kennebunkport, one of Maine’s coastal jewels and the summer home to many of America’s rich and famous, before continuing to the seaside town of Portland, Maine. Portland boasts a vibrant waterfront with one-of-a-kind shops, galleries and restaurants. Meal: B

DAY 3 Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad and Casco Bay Cruise: Begin the day at the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad,

dedicated to Maine’s history with the two foot narrow gauge railroad system. Take the 1.5 mile-long ride along the Eastern Promenade of Casco Bay. Stop at the Portland Head Light. Maine’s rocky shoreline and wooded islands come into view on a scenic cruise in Casco Bay. Sail past Victorian cottages dotted along Little and Great Diamond Islands as you watch for lobstermen, fishing fleets and sea birds, seals and other wildlife.

DAY 4 New Hampshire’s White Mountains and Mount Washington Cog Railway: Leaving the coast today, travel

west into New Hampshire’s White Mountains. Experience towering peaks, stunning scenery, quaint towns and villages before boarding the Mount Washington Cog Railway. This three hour excursion rides to the summit of Mount Washington aboard cars hauled by board vintage steam locomotives and modern biodiesel engines. Later enjoy time for shopping at some of the many outlet stores or browse the local shops in North Conway. Meals: B, L

DAY 5 North Conway Scenic Railroad and The Kancamagus Scenic Byway: Begin the day aboard the

North Conway Scenic Railroad. Enjoy the Mt. Washington Valley countryside and relive part of railroad history when the first train traveled through this region over 135 years ago. Then, travel the Kancamagus Scenic Byway as it follows a beautiful path through the White Mountains. It is one of the world’s most spectacular fall-foliage trips and meanders through vast forests, old logging roads and Indian hunting paths. DAY 7 Essex Steam Train and Riverboat Becky Thatcher:

The Valley Railroad Company operates the coal-fired locomotives of the Essex Steam Train. Pass through some of the most beautiful country in the state. DAY 3 Traverse City: Begin your day exploring Sleeping

Bear Dunes National Lakeshore that was named for an Indian legend. These expansive golden dunes stretch for more than 35 miles along the twinkling blue waters of Lake Michigan. A local guide tells the history of the area including the peninsula and lighthouse. You’re treated to a collection of antique musical instruments and music-making machines at the Music House Museum. DAY 4 Agawa Canyon Autumn Foliage Train: Today, cross

the border into Canada to board the Algoma Central Railway for a spectacular train ride through scenic Agawa Canyon during autumn foliage time. This all-day adventure takes you past massive rock formations, through thick forests of maple and birch and over pristine streams and lakes as you wind your way to Agawa Canyon. Explore the Agawa River and its waterfalls on the valley floor before returning to Sault Ste. Marie. Meals: B, L

DAY 5 Mackinac Island’s Grand Hotel: A trip to Mackinac

Island is a like a trip back in time. From its bluff cottages to its quaint horse-drawn carriages (no cars allowed on the island), this resort island offers a glimpse into life during a simpler and more genteel era. Upon arrival, tour the Island via horse-drawn carriage as you enjoy the atmosphere of this unique treasure. Air Services: Airfare may be purchased through Mayflower for travel originating in the United States. By using Mayflower’s air services, you accept that Mayflower is only acting as your agent and is not responsible for any accident, death, personal injury, illness, property damage, delay or other monetary loss or expense of any nature that may arise directly or indirectly out of any act of God, or any actions or default of any carrier. Mayflower is not lia­ble for, and does not assume responsibility or accept claims with regards to any losses incurred due to cancellation of flights or change in flight schedule resulting in additional expenses to you, even when the air services are purchased through Mayflower. Tour Price Includes: All motorcoach transportation noted in the tour itinerary, round trip airport transfers on the tour departure and return dates (only), services of the Tour Manager and driver, lodging, sightseeing, taxes, admissions, gratuities for bellmen and waiters for included meals, as well as future travel credits. Included meals are clearly noted in the touring description. Air transportation is available upon request, at additional cost, for United States and Canada Tours.

For travelers purchasing their own air, airport transfers are included provided their flight arrival and departure times meet the time frames suggested in the brochure. What is Not Included on the Tours: The land price of your tour does not include airfare to the tour departure point; excess luggage charges; items of a personal nature; meals not included on the itinerary; sightseeing attractions listed as “optional excur­sions” and gratuities to the full time Tour Manager, motorcoach driver, all airport skycaps, van or limo drivers and local guides. Airline Security Measures: The Transportation Security Admin­istration requires that travelers provide their name exactly to their airline as it appears on the passport or a government issued I.D.(such as a drivers license) to be used while traveling, along with their date of birth and gender when making reservations to fly within the U.S. When making your flight reservations through Mayflower Cruises & Tours, you will be asked for this information by our staff. Due to airline security measures, your photo I.D. or passport must match your airline ticket name and your tour reservation name or you may be denied aircraft boarding. Passport & Visas for Canada and Mexico: Each U.S. citizen must have a valid passport for entry into Canada or Mexico. No other documents will be accepted. Expiry date of passports should be at least six months after the return date of tour. If you don’t have a passport, call our office and we’ll tell you how to apply for one. Holders of non-U.S. passports should contact their nearest consulate and inquire about the necessary passport or visa documentation required for entry into the countries visited.

Travelers Protection Plan

Our Travelers Protection Plan consists of a Cancellation Fee Waiver combined with Travel Insurance Benefits Part A - Cancellation Fee Waiver (CFW) Should you have to cancel your tour or interrupt your tour en route, we have added a non-refundable Travelers Protection Plan (TPP) in our deposit schedule. If you do not wish to purchase this protection, simply deduct the amount from your deposit. This non-refundable fee waives all cancellation fees and penalties, provided we are notified of the cancellation one day before your tour departs. While on tour, if a passenger must leave early due to a personal illness, illness or death of a member of the immediate family, the purchase of the Travelers Protection Plan (TPP) guarantees full refund for any unused services (including purchased optional excursions) after the departure of the tour. Handling of return air transportation is included if your airline tickets were provided by Mayflower Cruises & Tours. *Exception: If you purchased non-refundable airline tickets from Mayflower Tours, the TPP does not provide a refund for the airline tickets in the event of a cancellation or a return transportation benefit if you must return home early. These Part B Benefits are offered and administered by Trip Mate Insurance Agency, Inc., are underwritten by the insurance carriers listed below and are subject to the terms, conditions and exclusions of the policy: • $25,000 Accidental Death & Dismemberment • $500 Trip Delay (Up to $100 Per Day) • $25,000 Medical Expense/Emergency Evacuation • 24 Hour Worldwide Assistance Service • $2,000 Baggage / Travel Documents • $500 Baggage Delay (Up to $100 Per Day) Certain exclusions and limitations apply and are detailed in the Description of Coverage Brochure which will be enclosed with your deposit receipt and is also available to you, upon request, at any time prior to your purchase of the plan. For example, cov­erage does not apply to; suicide, normal pregnancy, war or any act of war, mental or nervous disorders. A Traveling Companion is defined as a person booked to share accommodations in the same room or cabin with you during your trip. Sickness or Injury must require care by a Physician and must commence while insurance is in force for you. This plan does not cover a loss that results from an illness, disease, or other condition (of you, an Immediate Family Member, Traveling Companion or Business Partner), event or circumstance which occurs at a time when this plan is not in force for you.
