DAY 5 Cochem: A medieval gem resting on the banks of the Moselle River, Cochem will make you feel like you have stepped into a fairytale. Freechoice: Explore this charming town during a guided walking tour and visit the iconic Reichsburg Castle. OR if you’re feeling more active, join a bicycle tour to explore this beautiful region.

DAY 6 Rüdesheim: This morning, visit Rüdesheim, surrounded by lush green vineyards and lined with quaint alleyways filled with shops. Freechoice: Board the Winzerexpress mini train and wind through the cobblestone streets of the town before a guided visit of Siegfried’s Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum. Marvel at the display of over 150 musical instruments from the 18th and 19th centuries before taking a cable car ride for magnificent views over the vineyards. Once at the top, you see the historic Neiderwald Monument and have an amazing view of the river and town below. Alternatively, take a guided hike from Rüdesheim and enjoy breathtaking views of the Rhine River. Meals: B, L, D

DAY 7 Rastatt: Today you can choose from a diverse range of options, each truly unique yet equally fascinating. Freechoice: Visit Baden-Baden, the town is most famous for its casino and Roman baths, both of which you will learn about from your local guide. Alternatively, explore the charming city of Strasbourg. This active walking tour will showcase the highlights of the city including the magnificent Cathedral. OR visit Schloss Favorite, originally built as a hunting lodge and summer house and now houses a large collection of Chinese Porcelain.

DAY 8 Breisach: Freechoice: Journey to Colmar in France and explore cobblestone streets lined with colorfully painted half-timbered houses. OR enjoy wine tasting at a vineyard in the Kaiserstuhl region. Alternatively, visit Freiburg, located on the edge of the Black Forest in Germany. This vibrant city is renowned for its Medieval Old Town. OR visit Château du HautKœnigsbourg, overlooking the Alsace plain, where it has borne witness to centuries of conflicts and change.

Discover the fully-furnished former living quarters of previous occupants as well as a collection of weaponry dating back to the Middle Ages. Meals: B, L, D

DAY 9 Basel, Switzerland / Zurich / USA After breakfast, it’s time to disembark and transfer to the Zurich airport for your flight home. Flights should depart Zurich after 12:00pm. Meal: B
