FAQ Application Dates SPRING 2019 July 1, 2018 - October 15, 2018 DEADLINE: October 15 FALL 2019 July 1, 2018 - December 1, 2018 DEADLINE: December 1, but because it falls on a weekend, the deadline is Monday, December 3 at 11:59 PM (CST). Required documents for Fall will be accepted through December 8, but because it falls on a weekend, the deadline is Monday, December 10 at 5:00pm (CST). (If the deadline falls on a weekend, the application will remain open until 11:59 PM (CST) on the following Monday, Dec 3. Additional required documents will be accepted until 5:00pm (CST) on that following Monday, Dec 10.)

You may be admitted one of three ways:

Freshman Admissions

1. Top 10% Admits You qualify for automatic admission if you: • attend a public or private high school in Texas, and • rank in the top 10% of your graduating class on or before the application deadline, • satisfy the State of Texas Uniform Admission Policy, and • Students graduating under the new “foundation high school program” must complete the Distinguished Level of Achievement • make sure all required documents are received by the application deadline.

Texas residents attending out-of-state schools are eligible for top 10% admission at TAMU. A residency questionnaire must be submitted to determine eligibility.

2. Academic Admits You qualify for academic admission if you: • complete TAMU required coursework, and • rank in the top quarter of your graduating class on or before the application deadline, and • meet test score minimums (TAMU does not superscore) -SAT: Total score of 1360 or better with a minimum 620 Math and 660 Evidence-Based Reading and Writing (EBRW) -ACT: Composite score of 30 or better with a minimum 27 Math and 27 English • satisfy the State of Texas Uniform Admission Policy, and • make sure all required documents are received by the application deadline. 3. Review Admits If you do not qualify for top 10% or academic admission, but meet the State of Texas Uniform Admission Policy, you will be reviewed based on: • Your application and essay • Class rank and SAT and/or ACT scores • Extracurricular activities, community service, leadership, employment and summer activities • Talents, awards and honors


FAQ Class Size Starting out 200+, but after junior year, on average 20-30 You must have your application COMPLETE before it is placed in line for review. Number of Incoming freshmen/transfer student questions, search: “Mays Undergraduate Enrollment Plan 2016 – 2018” Required to sign your decision letter by May 1, the registration deadline for New Student Conference. Mays does have Undergraduate Career Services. The goal is for all students applying for the fall semester to receive a decision by the end of March at the latest. Business Honors is the only double major opportunity. A business minor is only available to non-Mays students.
