Turkey loses 75 lives due to coronavirus o Fahrettin Koca, Health Minister, declared the recent developments about the coronavirus in Turkey via his Twitter account and said, “We carried out 5.035 tests yesterday. The number of tests was 7.286 today. Tests of 1.196 was positive. We lost 75 lives in total and the overall number of cases is 3.629 now.” (Turkish)

New decisions about bazaars o Interior Ministry sent yet another letter to the 81 Provincial Governorates concerning the anti-coronavirus precautions. According to this letter, bazaars which sell vegetable, fruit, cereals, legumes, cleaning agents will not be able to sell unessential products like clothes and toys. (Turkish)

Minister Soylu talks about curfew o Turkey can resort to the "highest measure" of adopting a complete curfew if coronavirus infections continue to spread, the government said on Thursday as it clamped down further on medical tools leaving the country. "Complete social isolation is always on our agenda," Suleyman Soylu, Interior Minister, said. Asked whether a complete curfew would be announced, he said: "If we cannot prevent the epidemic with these measures, we can of course take the highest measure." (Turkish)

As of Thursday evening, the United States had at least 82,100 cases while China was reporting 81,782. There have been more than 510,000 cases reported worldwide. (English) o Video reveals lung damage in US coronavirus patient: 'People need to take this seriously' "I want people to see this and understand what this can do," Mortman said. "People need to take this seriously." Now, the patient has Covid-19 and his lungs are failing to function properly, said Dr. Keith Mortman, the chief of thoracic surgery at George Washington University Hospital. MoU of $5B to promote bilateral economic, trade, investment cooperation between Turkey, China. The insurance agency will recommend relevant Chinese enterprises to the Turkish fund as the investors, contractors and financial institutions for projects especially in energy, petrochemicals and mining sectors addressing the current account deficit of Turkey. Turkish Airlines suspends flights to New York o Turkish Airlines has suspended its flights to New York amid the global coronavirus outbreak, the national flag carrier announced Friday. As of March 27, 2020, only limited international flights will continue until April 17, 2020. Accordingly, the New York line was canceled," CEO Bilal Eksi said on Twitter. (Turkish)
