MEDIA INFORMATION 22 OCTOBER 2015 THE BREWERY LONDON

THE ULTIMATE INDUSTRY ACCOLADE

Welcome to Screen International’s annual Awards, brought to you by the leading source of news, information and analysis for the international film industry. Once again the Awards will highlight the leading marketing, distribution and exhibition successes in the UK.

We are very proud to present the sixth annual Screen Awards. When these awards were launched in 2010, we believed experts working in distribution, marketing and publicity were the unsung heroes of the industry; in 2013, we grew the awards to recognise agencies and exhibitors as well. After a hugely successful and memorable event 2014, we expect the 2015 awards to be bigger and better than ever. With the collaboration and support of the distribution and exhibition community, these awards attract more and more submissions each year. From groundbreaking digital initiatives to traditional marketing campaigns showing real insight into audiences, there is much to celebrate about UK distribution and exhibition. Our awards recognise success beyond just the box-office hits, rewarding dynamic work at every level and across multiple platforms. The UK distribution industry is experiencing big changes — shifts in the DVD market, the rise of VoD, the tough prospects for foreign-language releases and the rise of 3D tickets — so we want to recognise and celebrate the people on the front lines. There is much to applaud — that’s just one reason our unique awards are growing each year.
