EVENT WRAP-UP: National Excellence Awards
The MBA 2023 National Excellence in Building and Construction Awards were held in Perth on Saturday 25 November 2023. ACT members won three national awards across the residential, commercial and civil sectors at the celebration of Australia’s best builders and projects.
The 2022 ACT Apprentice of the Year, Mitch Gattenby, was also named among the top 3 apprentices in Australia. Trained at MBA Group Training in Fyshwick, Mitch exemplifies the quality training ACT-based carpenters can access at the MBA.
It was an extraordinary accomplishment for the 39 ACT finalists to reach the highly competitive national stage. To be in the running for a National Excellence Award, entrants must have progressed from winning awards in their State or Territory and must be nominated by their local Master Builders Association to being judged for a national award.
Congratulations to all the finalists and a massive congratulations to the three ACT winners.
