UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND B.S. in ARCHITECTURE STUDENT
I am interested in multi-disciplinary work environments and multi-media design processes. As an architecture student, I look for design inspiration across disciplines to learn from the way people inhabit the built environment. I recognize that the design process is never over; there is always more to learn and develop. The following work represents my growing understanding and exploration of how to form space and place.

URBAN FACADE ARCH401 Design Studio II / Fall 2019 / 2.5 weeks This facade is designed for a commercial infill building in Dupont Circle, Washington D.C. The design takes inspiration from the layers of the site block to introduce the commercial retail typology to the historic street, while maintaining the neighborhood’s vibrant character. The facade is detailed with layers brick framed windows and a steel frame with a curved bay that mimics the facades of the Victorian and Romanesque buildings along the block.

This unique study abroad opportunity is part of an on-going, team-based research project of archeological sites in Stabiae, and ancient Roman city in the Bay of Naples, Italy. The project requires a fusion of archeological and architectural skills in effort to document elevations of the walls in the ruins of the villa. Over the course of three weeks, students produce a series of elevation documents using various recording methods to draft a final product.

CONTEMPLATIVE GARDEN ARCH400 Design Studio I / Spring 2019 / 4 weeks This public garden aims to create a place for community relaxation and contemplation. It provides a rich, winding promenade which gives visitors the option to stray from the path into contemplative reflecting pools and bosques. The design of this kit-ofparts project relies heavily on symmetrical organization of proportions and rhythms. This is intended to contribute to the parti of reflection.
