90 Years Of Service

Spin Linen Sees Continued Growth On The Horizon

BY GABBY HELLBUSCH

For nearly a century, Spin Linen, formerly Spic & Span Linen Supply, has been servicing the Omaha metro and surrounding area. Originally founded in 1932 as a dry cleaning and shirt laundry company, Spin Linen has evolved into a full-service linen supply company servicing the health care and hospitality industries. While the industry is sometimes considered a slow-growth sector, Angie Ringling, who purchased the company from her father in 2005, has overseen tremendous growth over the past few years and doesn’t anticipate this trend slowing any time soon.

“It is a complicated business and there are a lot of moving parts to it,” Ringling said. “We have production, delivery, service — there are a lot of balls in the air always, but it is exciting to watch the company grow.”

Now servicing more than 800 customers, the business is looking to expand its geographic footprint. This begins with moving into a larger facility within the next couple of years.

As one of the first females to join EO Nebraska, Ringling said the organization has served her well over the years.

“I’ve gotten a lot out of the forum experience and have taken some really great trips over the years with other members who are really great people,” Ringling said. “I have found some really good travel companions as a result.”

As a business owner, Ringling said EO has been instrumental in helping the company continue to grow, thrive and advance to the next level as a company.

“I don’t know if we’d be where we are without EO,” Ringling said. “It was a great business investment. My advice to newer members is to participate in as many of these networking opportunities as possible because it will make their experience even more fruitful.”
