Crafting Drinks With Purpose
BRICKWAY BREWERY & DISTILLERY PUTS DOWN ROOTS
BY GABBY HELLBUSCH
After spending more than two decades immersed in the beer industry, Zac Triemert’s passion for beer and distilling remains.
Triemert got his first taste of the brewing world in 2001 when he began working at Upstream Brewing Co. He enjoyed it so much that he decided to pack up and move to Scotland where he received a master’s degree in brewing and distilling. Upon returning to Nebraska, Triemert got to work on his next undertaking — opening a distillery. He founded Lucky Bucket Brewing Co. and eventually sold the company before embarking on his latest endeavor, Brickway Brewery & Distillery.
Prior to becoming a brewmaster, Triemert was a microbiologist. The career change was prompted by the passing of his father, which made him realize life is too short to not be doing what you love. In honor of his late father, Triemert crafted a home brew dubbed Jerry’s Pale Ale.

EO NEBRASKA: SUMMER FAMILY FUN DAY
EO Nebraska members believe the best life is the right balance between business, personal connections and family. Maintaining that balance can become tricky and often one or two get left behind. Above all, the hard work and sacrifice is for our family.
On June 3rd, EO Nebraska is excited to host its 2nd annual Summer Family Fun Day. A day full of fun activities for all ages. Featuring food trucks, sports courts, the world’s largest slip ‘n slide (maybe not the largest but it’s huge!)
It will be a day your family will not soon forget.
This is just one of the many amazing events Nebraska entrepreneurs experience in addition to great learning events, networking, practical experience shares and so much more.
If this sounds like and an organization you would love to be a part of, reach out to Julie Hockney, EO Nebraska membership chair. She’d love to have coffee with you and share more about what EO Nebraska has to offer.
What are you waiting for? An exciting entrepreneurial experience is waiting for you!

that beer. And that’s the reason we do what we do — it doesn’t matter if you’re celebrating, commiserating or commemorating, Brickway is going to be there for you.”
Today, the brewery and distillery, which produces beer, vodka, gin and whisky, offers group tours for those who are curious to learn more.
Triemert, who has been a member of EO Nebraska for over a year, said the organization and its members have helped him succeed as a business owner.
“In preparing for each monthly meeting, I need to figure out what my biggest challenge is at the moment,” Triemert said. “And, before our next meeting, I solve that problem. Having that accountability is really helpful.”
