Alvine and Associates Announces Shareholders & Promotions
Alvine and Associates is honored to announce Steph Guy and Sam Haberman as shareholders of the firm. Both are alumnus of the Durham School of Architectural Engineering and Construction.
Over the course of her career, Steph Guy P.E., F.AEI, LEED AP has exemplified leadership within the AEC industry in the Omaha metro; serving on industry boards and volunteering her time in the community. Steph is a registered mechanical engineer and strives to develop the staff she interacts with daily. She is devoted to her clients and her internal working teams; designing systems that elevate the human experience.
Sam Haberman P.E., LC has recently returned to his roots in Nebraska after growing and developing the Oklahoma City market for Alvine. He is a registered electrical engineer with a broad depth of knowledge of building system design and construction. Sam’s energy is devoted to the successful implementation of technical engineering solutions for his clients while developing strong teams within the organization.
An Omaha-based engineering firm, Alvine and Associates has offices and locations in Lincoln, Nebraska; Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Des Moines, Iowa; Kansas City, Missouri; and Denver, Colorado. Founded in 1961, the firm provides MEP and technology consulting and design engineering services through its two brands: Alvine Engineering and IP Design Group. While continuing to serve its local markets in the Midwest region, the firm has expanded to work in nearly every state.

Mary Wurst was recently promoted to Associate Principal. Schools are a vital part of their communities, educating generations of students, which is why Mary has dedicated most of her 14-year career to designing K-12 education facilities. In her leadership role, she works to understand each client’s unique needs, and shapes the building systems to align with their goals to meet their present and future needs.
Brandon Hanna CPD, Project Manager
Brandon Hanna has been promoted to Project Manager. Bringing 20 years of mechanical systems and plumbing design experience, Brandon has worked on some of the firm’s most sustainably-designed and nationally-recognized projects. Brandon draws on his experiences across a wide range of projects to mentor others and bring creative solutions to complex problems.
Tyler Manahan P.E., Project Manager
Tyler Manahan has been promoted to project manager. As a leader in the firm’s Oklahoma City office, Tyler utilizes over 16 years of electrical engineering experience to actively engage in client interactions and design team collaborations. Tyler ensures energy-efficient system design and budget requirements are always achieved throughout his projects.
Justin Olson has been promoted to Associate Principal. With over 19 years of electrical engineering experience, Justin approaches his work with a strong emphasis on communication. As a leader in the Des Moines office and within the architecture, engineering, and construction industry, Justin appreciates the chance to make a positive impact on clients and co-workers, whether that’s through mentoring a young engineer or leading a team on a project.
Ryan Tommey P.E., Project Manager
Ryan Tommey has been promoted to Project Manager. Over the past 11 years in the industry and as a registered mechanical engineer, one of Ryan’s primary goals has been to provide clients with a building they can be proud of, requiring flexibility to meet budget, timeline, and sustainability goals. He recognizes that every design decision has a long-term influence on energy usage and operating costs.
Kyle Weber P.E., Project Manager
Recently promoted to Project Manager, Kyle Weber utilizes 10 years of experience in electrical systems design for some of the firm’s most high-profile and technically-sophisticated projects, including corporate high-rise and headquarters developments of varying sizes and complexities. Kyle prioritizes collaborative communication amongst owners and interdisciplinary team members throughout the entirety of the project.
