Auckland, New Zealand
c o nc e pt The Waitemata Harbour in Auckland, New Zealand connects the city’s main port and waterfront to the Hauraki Gulf and Pacific Ocean. Waitemata is from the Maori language (Wait te Mataa) meaning sparkling waters. Using the sparkling waters of the Waitemata Harbour as inspiration, the space is a relaxing oasis. Blues and rich neutrals are integrated into the space, as well as many natural materials. Use of bright pops of color and ornamental textiles are inspired by the Maori culture.

The objective of this project is to design a winter home in for Tom & Nancy Barr that is sensitive to Mid Century Modern design and accommodates aging in place and the principles of Universal Design.
palm springs, california
The inspiration for the design comes from combining the relaxation of the beach and distinction of Palm Springs. Creating a relaxing oasis, the warm neutrals surround you and soft blues float you from space to space. Large windows and sliding glass doors marry the indoors with the outdoors so when you’re lounging on the sofa, if feels as though it is a private beach.

concept
Delmar Station was a working train station for 40 years, complete with escalators, until 1970 when it was shut down. It was purchased in 1983 by a lighting company. The escalators were removed and it was turned into a showroom. Currently, it is used as a storage space for a local business owner who wants to restore it to its original use.
