estern Kentucky University offers a wide array of organizations for students to become involved in the community. One great way to be involved is through service organizations. With servive opportinuties of all kinds, there are many ways for WKU students to give back. Although there are numerous service organizations at WKU, a few organizations stood out even more this Spring!
Up Til Dawn Letter Writing Every year, students at Western Kentucky University gather to participate in letter writing for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. For this event, students are given prewritten letters about St. Jude and envelopes which they address to friends and family members to raise awareness and money for this organization. This spring, lock-in was held overnight for those who submitted 25 or more letters! Participants were able to come togerhter and raise awareness for a very worthy cause!

The Greek Community Gets Involved
T
he month of April is a very busy time for the Greek Community at WKU. With philantrophy events for many sororities and fraternities and the annual Greek Week activities, Greek men and women experience special opportunities to give back! This week isnt all just fun and games. Each organization is encouraged to give back to the community. A blood drive was held throughout the week and members as well as non-members were able to give blood. Over 400 lives were saved from this year's donations alone!
