ATTENTION!
Areas with high accidents risk (dangerous accidents):
B B C C
A A Area A In Area A there are located the low hinges (one on each side). These hinges are under a great tension. Do not try to fix them or adjust them in any case, because they can be very dangerous. Area B In Area B there are located the torsion springs. In some cases they can be placed in the back of the door, where the horizontal rails end). These are under tension. Do not try to fix them or adjust them in any case, because they can be very dangerous. Area C In the Area C there are placed the vertical sliding rails, on which the rolls move. Do not put your hand in these areas when then door is in movement. They have accident risks (finger grips or cutting etc). Do not touch any of the above components when the door is in movement. The risk of accidents is very high. In order to be aware of the risks that you can be exposed when operating a garage door, please read carefully this manual. 3

1. Principles of operation On each side of the door panels there are located the vertical sliding rails. On the ceiling, in their extension there are the horizontal sliding rails. The shaft on which are installed the torsion springs (or spring) and the cable rollers can be found on the front side, on top of the panels, or on the back side, on the lower level of the horizontal rails (depending on the sliding system chosen). The torsion springs ensure the balance position of the door, being under maximum pressure when the door is closed. On the opening of the door, the springs will get loose taking over the mass of the door panels. The panels are guided on their movement by the steel cable, found on each side, cable which, when the door opens, is wrapped on the cable rollers found on the shaft. The panels slide on the rails with the help of the rollers, which are installed on each side of the panels. The panels are joined by middle hinges (on the inside). !!!! Never disable the cable, the cable rollers or the springs. Only the qualified personnel is entitled to do this.
2. Operation – opening and closing !!! DURING OPERATION (OPENING AND CLOSING) ALWAYS WATCH THE DOOR AND MAKE SURE THAT THERE ARE NO PERSONS OR OBJECTS IN ITS WAY OR NEARBY THE GUIDING SYSTEM. !!!! UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE DO NOT PLACE ANY OBJECT IN THE DOOR’S WAY TO KEEP IT OPEN. Operating the garage door can be made manually or electric (depending on the type of system you have chosen).
2.1. Manual operation – The door will be operated by hand Opening the door Grab the door’s handle (which is applied on the lower panel) and pull up. Carefully lift, do not pull hard, so you will be able to stop the door with the hand at any time if needed. Closing the door Grab the door’s handle (or the rope if it was installed) and pull down carefully. The door is closed only with the help of the handle (or the rope). Do not use, in order to pull down the door, other components of the doors such as the hinges; these are not destined to being used this way. Before closing/opening manually the door, make sure that: you have released the lock (see chapter 3); that you closed correctly the passing door included – if it is the case; that you disconnected the engine – if the door is equipped also with an engine).
2.2. Electric operation ‐ The door will be operated by pressing the remote’s button Opening the door Pressing the remote’s button for two seconds will trigger the engine, which will lift the door. Closing the door A new push on the remote’s buttons, for two seconds, will trigger the engine again, which will pull down the door. MILCA SRL RO10169504 – J52/178/1997 ‐ Șos. Stopping the door Stopping the door (no matter of the way of the movement – up or down) it’s made by pushing the remote’s button for two seconds. The door will stop and a new push on the remote’s button will generate a movement in the opposite direction compared to the one before the stop. Disconnecting from the electric operating way and passing to manual operation For disconnecting from the electric operating way and passing to manual operation is necessary to pull the rope tied to the engine. As follows, the operation will be made as it is shown in article 2.1. !!! NEVER PUSH THE REMOTE’S BUTTON IF THE DOOR IS NOT IN YOUR SIGHT. IN THE DOOR’S WAY CAN BE PERSONS OR OBJECTS WHICH CAN BE THUS INJURED OR DAMAGED. Before electrically closing/opening the door, make sure that: you have turned off the lock (see chapter 3); that you have closed correctly the pedestrian door if there is any.
3. LOCKING THE GARAGE DOOR (SECURITY) The garage door can be secured in accordance to your option, with a mechanical lock on the inside (mechanical latch applied on the inside of the door, with access only on the inside) or with a key lock (embedded in the panel, with both access on the inside and on the outside). In the case of electric operation always check before pressing the button on the remote if the lock is open. Triggering the electric opening or closing with the lock on can cause serious damages on the engine or on the sliding system, being an accident opportunity.
4. NEVER DO THIS! !!!! MODIFYING THE DOOR’S WEIGHT INFLUENCES THE WAY THAT THE SPRINGS WORK, CAUSING MALFUNCTIONS AND FAULTS FOR THE WHOLE ASSEMBLY. THAT’S WHY ONE SHOULD NEVER MODIFY THE DOOR’S WEIGHT BY ADDING OR REMOVING COMPONENTS (EVEN IF THERE ARE ONLY ORNAMENTS). DO NOT LEAN ON THE PANELS OR THE GLIDING RAILS AND DO NOT SIT ON ANY OF THE COMPONENTS. !!!! DO NOT LEAN ON THE PANELS OR THE GLIDING RAILS AND DO NOT SIT ON ANY OF THE COMPONENTS. !!!DO NOT USE THE DOOR FOR OTHER PURPOSES THAN THOSE FOR WHICH IT IS DESIGNED. DO NOT PLACE LEANING OBJECTS ON ANY OF THE COMPONENT PARTS AND DO NOT STAND UP ON THE PANELS OR ON THE RAILS.
4. SAFETY SYSTEMS 5.1 SPRINGS BREAKING SAFETY SYSTEM The springs breaking safety system, if you opted for one, is situated on the axis, on the end of each spring. In the case of one of the springs breaking it has the role to block the door preventing thus it to fall. The door will be fully functional again after replacing the broken spring and installing a new safety system. 5
MILCA SRL RO10169504 – J52/178/1997 ‐ Șos. Giurgiului nr. 33A, Comuna Jilava, Județ Ilfov ‐ Telefon: +4 021‐457.00.03 www.MCAgrup.ro
!!! NEVER TRY TO INTERFERE IF THE SAFETY SYSTEM HAS BLOCKED THE DOOR. CALL THE SPECIALIZED PERSONNEL FROM YOUR DEALER, THESE SITUATIONS BEING EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. !!! IF THE SAFETY SYSTEM HAS BLOCKED THE DOOR DO NOT TRY TO FORCE THE DOOR TO WORK. JUST CALL THE SPECIALIZED PERSONNEL OF YOUR DEALER.
5.2 CABLES BREAKING SAFETY SYSTEM Cables breaking safety system, if you opted for it, replaces the lower (left and right) hinges. If one of the cables found on each side of the door breaks the safety system’s role is to block the door preventing it from falling. The door will be fully functional again after replacing the broken cable. !!! NEVER TRY TO INTERFERE IF THE SAFETY SYSTEM HAS BLOCKED THE DOOR. CALL THE SPECIALIZED PERSONNEL FROM YOUR DEALER, THESE SITUATIONS BEING EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. !!! IF THE SAFETY SYSTEM HAS BLOCKED THE DOOR DO NOT TRY TO FORCE IN ANY WAY THE DOOR TO WORK. JUST CALL THE SPECIALIZED PERSONNEL OF YOUR DEALER.
5.3. OBSTACLE ENCOUNTERING SAFETY SYSTEM (only for electric operation) In the case of electric operation you can opt for installing a safety system based on a pair of optical sensors (photocells) or on a safety system based on a sensor installed on the lower panel, inside the sealing gasket. These safety systems stop the descending movement of the door, in the case in which in its way has appeared an obstacle (person, animal or object). Depending on the type of engine you chose it can be equipped with an overcharge protection device, its effect being similar to the one of the sensors described above (except the sensitivity level and the response time). This device’s functionality applies until 30 cm up starting from the zero closing level. When encountering an obstacle higher than 30 cm the door will stop. !!! FOR DETAILED INFORMATION ON THE POSSIBILITY OF INSTALLING THESE SYSTEMS AND ABOUT THEIR CHARACTERISTICS PLEASE CONTACT YOUR DEALER.
6. MAINTENANCE, MALFUNCTIONS AND REPAIRS 6.1. GENERAL MATTERS It is proper that you sign a maintenance and service contract with your dealer or with a specialized company to always have a perfectly functional door and a longer life expectance for the product. For any problem that occurs in the way the door works call the dealer or the service company. !!! DO NOT TRY TO FIX YOURSELF THE EVENTUAL PROBLEMS THAT COULD APPEAR. THIS COULD BE DANGEROUS FOR YOUR SAFETY, BUT COULD ALSO LEAD TO AN AGGRAVATION OF THE FLAW AND TO LOSING THE GUARANTEE.

6.2. MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES THAT CAN BE PERFORMED BY YOU WITHOUT ANY DANGER BUT WITH PAYING ATTENTION:
From time to time check the joints (screws and rivets) and where it’s possible tighten them slightly if they are weakened – or just call the service team. Periodically lubricate the hinges and rollers (ask details about the lubricating oil from the dealer) Check the rollers; when the door is closed rollers must be easy to rotate by hand. If the rotating is difficult to make call the service team. Check the cables; they must not be outworn (or lanky) and they always have to stay stretched. If you observe that they do not stay stretched or they present outworn signs immediately contact the supplier or the service team. Damaged cables can alter safety usage and operation. If the sliding rails present light deposits of dust, debris etc. clean them carefully being aware not to cut yourself. Clean the side seals and check their integrity (on the sides, up and down). Clean the panels using a rag, water and a neutral washing powder (for example one made especially for cars). Rinse with clean water. Clean the glazing parts (Plexiglas windows) only with a wet rag, not to scratch them. The dry rag can scratch the Plexiglas surface reducing the visibility and the aesthetics of the window. Clean the aluminum parts with non‐corrosive substances.
!!! Pay attention when washing on the inside: make sure that you do not remove by washing the lubricant on the hinges and rollers. !!! Also, take care not to drop water on the engine. In the case of water leakage in the engine’s area immediately disconnect it from the electric power supply and announce the service team. !!! Be careful with the surfaces where the water can pound (such as the rails). Water can cause corrosion of different parts of the sliding assembly. ! A SECTIONAL GARAGE DOOR IS AN OBJECT WITH SIGNIFICANT WEIGHT WITH MOVING PARTS. WRONGLY OPERATING OR WITHOUT ATTENTION CAN CAUSE INJURIES OR IMPORTANT DAMAGES. THUS, WHEN OPERATING A GARAGE SECTIONAL DOOR, GRANT IT ALL THE ATTENTION. ! ANY INTERVENTION ON THE GARAGE DOOR CAN BE MADE ONLY BY SPECIALIZED AND QUALIFIED PERSONNEL. UNAUTHORIZED PERSONS’ INTERVENTION CAN PROVE TO BE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. THE TORSION SPRINGS AND CABLES ARE UNDER TENSION SO AN INAPPROPRIATE INTERVENTION CAN CAUSE SERIOUS INJURIES.
