4 Superb Places to Take Your Wedding Photos in Vegas As you come up over that last hill along the I-15 Northbound, and you get your first look at the Las Vegas Valley, you are greeted with the pervasive impression of brown. It’s in the air, covering the landscape, and all pervasive on the homes. It comes in a vast array of browns: from the lightest tan to the darkest brown on the mountains in the distance. In the day, the smog is sometimes so thick that the strip becomes a haze in the distance. It’s about this time that you start asking yourself what on earth brought you here for a wedding? What beauty is there to be found in a city so bland in appearance? The only thing that could stick out are the casinos on the strip, and they only really grab your attention at night. So where is a couple to take their long-awaited wedding photos? This is a time to remember and you paid a lot of money for a photographer, so they can’t just like any other day. Fortunately, there are a number of beautiful getaways throughout that smoggy looking valley that are simply spectacular for your Las Vegas wedding photography.
Red Rock and Vegas Sign First, look to Red Rock. This beautiful collection of mini-red mountains is located within thirty minutes of the center of the city. Miles upon miles of road take you through the beautiful landscape. With a small fee, you can get a car into the park and find miles of beautiful red landscape to contrast the white of your dress and the dark colors of his tux. The hardest decision your photographer will have to make is choosing amongst the array of backdrops. This backdrop can perfectly memorialize your Las Vegas wedding. Second, head over to the strip for a few beautiful locations. Start at the classic Vegas sign and work your way over. It’s located between the roads on the south end of the strip (only accessible from the south bound lanes). A good photographer will be able to find a number of ways to incorporate the sign in a nontraditional way that brings new life and beauty to the location than you ever thought possible. Not to mention the fact that the sign is a must-have for anyone, Las Vegas wedding included or not. Head on over to the sign in your formals and see what your photographer can come up with.
Hotels Third, move a bit further into the strip. Although these high rising hotels may be surrounded by dry heat and desert landscaping, the properties they stand on are far better taken care of. The Wynn Hotel for example, has its own green oasis in the dessert surrounding its grounds. Each hotel spends a lot of money to upkeep the grounds on their property. Some go for foliage. Others create a Romanesque feel. Some are more beautiful than others. It all depends on your tastes. Explore some of the more mainstream, classy hotels to find one that works for your style. Then come back at a time that’s less busy to get a few beautiful shots. Fourth, dig a bit deeper in to find the themed interiors. Now, to be fair, nearly every hotel you walk into will immediately surround you with the familiar sounds of slot machines and the smell of smoke. It doesn’t take long to escape that environment and find the themed interior. The Venetian, for instance, has a beautiful Italian interior; complete with mini rivers and gondolas you can ride around the casino. These are just four of the places you can seek out to make up for that sad opening view from the I-15. There are a number of similar hidden must-visit locations around the valley that can make you feel like you are truly getting married in a paradise.
