McColl Center for Art + Innovation
Mission: To empower artists to advance community and impact lives through art and the creative process. Located in uptown Charlotte, North Carolina, McColl Center for Art + Innovation is a nationally respected Artist-in-Residence program that engages artists from the U.S. and around the world in programs and community engagement projects. McColl Center facilitates the creative process through ten Spheres of Impact including Social Justice, Environment, Education, Business Innovation and Craft and is supported, in part, with a Basic Operating Grant from the Arts & Science Council as well as the North Carolina Arts Council with funding from the state of North Carolina and the National Endowment for the Arts. The Studios and Gallery are free and open to the public.
THE EVENT:
Palate to Palette, Friday, December 5th from 7 – 10 PM
Palate to Palette is the signature annual event for the Contemporaries of McColl Center for Art + Innovation. Designed to take ticket holders on a journey for the senses, this lively event forms a unique relationship between wine and art by pairing artists and their work with different wines and spirits. The event also features live music, delectable treats and creative cocktails. Now in its seventh year, Palate to Palette has truly earned its reputation as a “can’t miss” event in Charlotte.
THE AUDIENCE The Contemporaries of McColl Center for art + Innovation are a vibrant, diverse group of art enthusiasts whose events provide an exciting social platform for the exploration of contemporary art. Each member shares a desire to be engaged in the contemporary art community through active participation, combined with a seriously great party. Anticipated attendance at Palate to Palette 2014 is 375 of Charlotte’s young and young at heart.

Starving Artist Sponsor
Starving Artist Sponsors are restaurants, cafés, caterers and other food vendors who provide food for one or more stations located throughout the building during the event. Starving Artist Sponsors provide canapés, hors’ d’oeuvres or desserts in-kind for at least 250 people at each station they sponsor. The Center will provide these sponsors with a tax receipt equal to the true market value of the goods donated to the event.
