JUNE 10TH & 11TH | PORTERS NECK COUNTRY CLUB

The Men’s Golf Association’s 2023 Ryder Cup competition is scheduled for Saturday, June 10th and Sunday, June 11. This year, the MGA wishes to open the 2023 Ryder Cup competition to PNCC full golf members with established handicaps. If this applies to you, and you are interested in participating in this event, contact the Pro Shop directly. The maximum number of golfers who can play in this event is 72. For Non-MGA members, there will be a $15.00 surcharge over and above the MGA member cost, which is currently estimated to be $100.00.

Ryder Cup Details

THIS IS A SIGN-UP REMINDER AND UPDATE TO PREVIOUS DESCRIPTIONS

The MGA Ryder Cup will be a shotgun start event held June 10th and 11th and includes four 9-hole matches (Two-man Scramble, Two-man Better Ball of Partners, Two-man Modified Alternate Shot, and Singles matches)

Registration will close at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, June 6th to create flights for the Team Captains to draw from This year’s Team Captains are Jim Lazure and John Pisarek The draft will take place from 4:00 PM to 5:00PM, Wednesday, June 7th, in either the PNCC Ballroom or the adjacent Member’s Lounge and is open to all

There will be a box lunch provided on Saturday, and light snacks will be served while waiting for the results to come in on Sunday afternoon, with one drink ticket provided each day

Four Closest to the Pin contests will be held each day Each member of the winning team will be awarded Pro Shop Credit

The $100 00+/- member’s cost will include prizes, carts (both days), tip for the cart staff, food and drink tickets

Kopeck & Mruk Win Member - Member

What a great weekend for all participants! The weather, food and entertainment were great! Mark Kopec & Brian Mruk held the 1st round lead with a 12 under par 60 Ark and Brian did not take their foot off the pedal in the second round and shot a miraculous 58 Congratulations to Mark and Brian, our 2023 Men’s Member-Member Champions!

After the luncheon and awards, we took the top 10 teams and had a 4 hole shootout on the Short Course for an extra $250/team prize Jeff Taweel & RJ Jeanmenne birdied the last hole for the win
