Marquesa Creating a sophisticated look while maintaining a casual comfort is the goal of Marquesa, a neo-traditional collection that pairs classic forms with contemporary finishes. European elements are distinctly recognizable, but the group carves out its own modern path. The unique mix of materials and finishes combines to create an appealing earthy palette that exudes luxury while remaining understated. Inspiration A neo-traditional collection that was designed to be luxurious, yet casual in feel. Pieces are classic in form, but have been modernized with a new finish to create a fresh look.
Accents Intricate accents are evident throughout the Marquesa collection; there are metal rosettes in a Graphite finish, silver leaf eglomise tops with a silver stripe detail, nails in a nickel finish, antiqued mirror and seeded glass.
Artistry The European inspired collection emphasizes delicate forms and subtle shapes. A Moorish tile motif, arching grille work, demilune forms and geometric lines complement the wood, glass and mirror elements.
Hardware Nickel-plated pulls and knobs carry a silver finish with a blackened glaze. The simplicity of the hardware pairs perfectly with the earthy and understated palette of finishes and fabrics.

Whether you are downsizing or purchasing your first condo, here are some tips for making a small space more functional.
Tip #1 Find Furniture that can serve

Abigail Q: Why did you get involved In design?
A: I always feel like this is some kind of trick question because although I’m passionate about beautiful spaces, design is truly only a means to an end. I believe the important part of design is the people that love and live there! The best design is merely a backdrop for the true treasure of living! and that’s my goal in life. I’m for the Home. I’m for the Family.
Q:What Is your favorite room to decorate and why?
A:When I dress up my home it’s an extension of my heart saying I’m thankful and I love you. Two pivotal truths. Isn’t that truly what entertaining is? Hey come over! I love you and I’m thankful for you. Let’s eat chips and watch a movie! So when you come over and we sit down I’ve had you in mind. I had this moment on my heart. Think about the family sofa you grew up on; right? That thing knows a lot. All the Laughing. Spilling. Crying. Naps. LOL. And you remember that coming home to that sofa covered in laundry you had a different expectation then when the room was vacuumed and perfect. Design to me is that expectation of great things to come. A beautiful space saying, “Hey, I’m thinking of the time we will enjoy together.” This is what great design is to me.
Q:How would you describe your décor style?
A: Oooooo, another trick question! That one is tricky because before I came to work here I thought I was super contemporary. But as I was exposed to truly masterful furniture and the stories behind them I fell in love. As beautiful and useful as original modern is, I love the soft welcoming of a traditional room. My Home is filled with heavy traditional pieces in deep finishes as well as lighter French Provincial keepsakes and drastic modern art and Japanese collectables. I guess you could say I’m eclectic. You might just need to check back with me in a couple years for a more solid answer. Lol!
