MY

NAME

IS

MARIA

CAMILA

FAJARDO

Originally from Bogotå, Colombia, I am a visionary Interior Design student with a minor in Design for Sustainability and Themed Entertainment Design at Savannah College of Art and Design, with a previous technical background in Marketing. I have a big passion for new experiences and learning new things everyday, creating my love for traveling and languages. I currently speak 3 languages fluently and I’ve traveed to many countries around the world, which has influenced my design thinking along the way. I am also very fond of sustainability and the environment, and I feel that there are so many opportunities for interior designers to have a positive impact. I consider myself a very curious and detail oriented person, curiosity can lead us to new discoveries and experiences. My interests vary from Non-Profit work, human development and community service all the way to Educational, Workplace, Hospitality, and Health Care Design. I believe that innovation through collaborative environments and storytelling are the greatest keys to a successful design. My goal is to create

"Design heals the heart, replenishes

and rethink spaces that can provide solutions to our society by integrating well-being, sustainability, and culture into a holistic design that goes beyond basic needs.

the soul, and ignites the mind." PAGE

Co-Working Space Design S AVA N N A H , G E O R G I A GROUP PROJECT

This project is based on the design of a coworking space in Savannah, Georgia. The purpose of the space is for small business owners, entrepreneurs, and freelancers to work alongside like-minded individuals where they can collaborate, create, and be a part of an entrepreneurial community. The goal was to create a flexible and healthy workplace environment that supports work, wellness, exhibit design elements and furnishings that challenge our expectations of what we think is a productive workplace.

Enerspace is a professionally designed shared office space in Palo Alto and Chicago, offering co-working and private offices. A coworking space’s relationship with its members is one that is primarily predicated on the values that drive the Co-working Movement. This is in direct and deliberate contrast to a more traditional relationship predicated on renting space from a landlord. “Work Well reflects the mission to give members a place and the tools they need to blend work and wellness.

EXHIBIT B OOT H PROPOSAL SUMMER 2015 | HONG KONG

05

Community-Based Enterprise Development (C-BED) was developed by the International Labour Organization (ILO) as a training program for helping entrepreneurs and micro-business owners to improve their businesses. It is designed for use among vulnerable and marginalized communities that are hard to reach due to social and geographical isolation.

CBED Booth Exhibition Design

The project focused on providing advantages for the people within a community by enhancing interaction and facilitating their needs and experiences. With our display proposal, we would introduce the visitor to the program toolkit and module. Both current and future business owners are identified as potential participants. Visitors would be allowed to engage, interact, and gain considerable knowledge on what the program can do.

The importance of designing a essay to assembly booth. The program is promoted in many remote city in Asia where accessibility and resources are limited. Designing something practical and able to fit in a suitcase was the main challange.

Our exhibit ideology was to encompass our responsability as experience designers , to interwave visually engaging and inspiring graphics, alongside informing program materials. Providing a framewrok for a community to share knowledge for succes is the final take away from the experience.
