Tun Tavern Philadelphia, PA The Legend On 10 November 1775, the Second Continental Congress resolved that two battalions of Marines be raised. The Continental Marines were born that day. According to legend, Captain Samuel Nicholas set up shop in Philadelphia’s Tun Tavern and began recruiting. The rest is history. On 11 July 1798, an act of Congress created The United States Marine Corps.

Whipped Sweet Potato Bake What You Need 3cans (15 oz. each) sweet potatoes, drained 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted 1tsp. ground cinnamon 1tsp. ground ginger 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg 3cups JET-PUFFED Miniature Marshmallows
Make It HEAT oven to 350째F. BEAT potatoes, butter and spices with mixer until blended. SPOON into 1-1/2-qt. casserole sprayed with cooking spray; top with marshmallows. BAKE 15 to 20 min. or until potato mixture is heated through and marshmallows are lightly browned.
Classic Green Bean Casserole What You Need 3pkg. (9 oz. each) frozen French-cut green beans, thawed, drained 1can (10-3/4 oz.) condensed cream of mushroom soup 1cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese 1/8tsp. pepper 1can (2.8 oz.) French fried onions, divided
Make It HEAT oven to 350째F. MIX all ingredients except half the onions in 1-1/2-qt. casserole. BAKE 35 min., topping with remaining onions after 30 min.
Washington Apple Cake What You Need 1pkg. (2-layer size) yellow cake mix 1pkg. (3.4 oz.) JELL-O Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding 4eggs 2/3cup water 1/2cup oil 1tsp. ground cinnamon 1/2cup plus 2 Tbsp. BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream, divided 1lb. Granny Smith apples (about 3 apples), peeled, coarsely chopped 3/4cup powdered sugar 1tsp. Water
Make It HEAT oven to 350ยบF. BEAT first 6 ingredients and 1/2 cup sour cream in large bowl with mixer until blended. Stir in apples; pour into greased and floured 10-inch tube pan or 12-cup fluted tube pan. BAKE 1 hour to 1 hour 5 min. or until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool cake in pan 15 min. Loosen cake from sides of pan with knife. Invert cake onto wire rack; gently remove pan. Cool cake completely. WHISK powdered sugar, remaining sour cream and 1 tsp. water until blended; drizzle over cake. Let stand until glaze is firm.

Make It COOK onions and half the red peppers in butter in large saucepan on medium heat 5 to 6 min. or until crisp-tender, stirring frequently. ADD cream cheese; cook on low heat 3 to 4 min. or until melted, stirring constantly. Stir in turkey, corn, broth and milk. COOK 5 min. or until soup is heated through, stirring occasionally. Serve topped with remaining red peppers and black pepper.
