We want to welcome you to our 2023 bull sale. We really appreciate your interest in our program, whether you bid, purchased, called, stopped in and looked, or watched online, we are grateful for the gestures. This year we have a great selection of Red, Red Blaze Faced, Black and Black Blazed Faced bulls for your appraisal. We strive to raise bulls with longevity, docility, calving ease and performance. Our bulls do not receive any creep feed whatsoever. We have too many small pastures away from home, that the bulls are weaned off just milk and grass. The grass this past year was a little on the dry side to say the least.

The bulls are on a full heard health program, and we collaborate with our Veterinarian Dr. Jordan Holt on that. Dr. Holt also will have semen tested the bulls prior to sale day. We fully guarantee that these bulls will be sound breeders, and we are very confident they will go out and work for you. If there are any issues, we will work with you to either replace the bull, provide you with a credit or a refund.

We are happy to take the bulls home after the sale and feed them until the 1st of April, at which time we will delivery the bulls at our convenience. The bulls are on a TMR ration and they receive a rolled grain mix as well as free choice hay. The bulls are not pushed and are fed for a more natural growth.

Once again, we are happy to have Tempest Red Angus joining the sale. Dave Slingerland is a dedicated young cattleman, who is building his Red Angus herd and will have some great bulls on offer. We also want to than our Auctioneer Ryan Konynenbelt, and the SALE team with Justin and Darren, for all their work and professionalism.

Welcome to the 3rd annual MCG Simmental and Tempest red angus bull sale. I’m excited to offer the most head and best pen of bulls I’ve raised with something for every need. This is the third year selling bulls from the Leeuwenburgh Endzone 37F herdsire who’s progeny have worked very well for me, and I’m excited to get more daughters milking this year. Also 4 bulls from a home raised sire Harlow 46H who was the first bull I sold through this sale that adds thickness and hair to his calves. I’ve scored them on a calving score again this year to assist with buying decisions.

1: Recommended for cows only.

2 : Could be used on larger framed well developed heifers

3: High calving ease, good on heifers.

Bulls are summered on a dry pasture without creep, from September 2nd on they’re fed a high roughage cereal silage ration with bull development pellet. They will be at the sale in working condition without being pushed. All bulls are on full herd health program including footrot vaccine and will be sold with a vet health inspection and semen test.

Again this year I’ll be consigning a small package of open yearling F1 Red AngusXsimmental replacement heifers. These are all heifers out of my angus females bred simmi making the great maternal cross. Will be vet checked and pelvic measured before sale

Bulls can return home until May 1st and be delivered for free. Will take $150/ bull off of purchase price for any bulls taken home day of sale. Heifers must be taken home day of sale.
