Felines take over at The Artery downtown

The Artery presents “Meow Meow Meow – The Cat, Wild and Domestic,” celebrating feline beauty, grace and allure. The show opens on July 7 and continues through July 31, with a reception on July 14 from 7 to 9 p.m.

“Cat lovers, this one’s for you!” a news release said. The exhibit captures the sheer power and elegance of wild cats and the endearing charm of domestic companions — from prowling tigers in lush landscapes to sweet house cats curled up in cozy corners. Fluffy cats, fierce cats, funny cats, big cats and bitty cats. Using a diversity of mediums, our artists pay homage to these iconic and enigmatic animals.

“We hope to create a shared experience that connects people with the fascinating and mystical qualities of cats,” said the Artery’s Adele Shaw. “We thought it was a good time to have a little fun!“
